I generally like OzBargainers. Here's another reason why.
I bought some Ozbargain 5.1 Jamo speakers (which then necessitated buying an amp, but that's another story). One was dropped and cracked. Poo.
In hope, I messaged a few people who had commented on the post and not wanting the whole set.
First bloke had given the spare speakers to his brother in law. Oh well.
Second bloke said they were buried in the shed … too much work. Ok. Probably how I might have responded
Third bloke says "they're under the stairs and they're yours".
The three speakers arrived today, perfectly packed, and one will be wired this weekend.
I sent him the postage money tonight. He didn't want it beforehand, just in case there was a problem. And he only wanted the postage.
There are a lot of good people on OzBargain. This is one of them.
I reckon this site has a really good vibe - surprising since there's a certain selfishness about bargain hunting.
I think it exists at the Christmas parties, which I might muster up the courage and commitment to attend one year.
This vibe needs to be called out regularly to keep it thriving.
Tldr: OzBargainers are nice. It's a good thing.
Name and Frame!
I'd like to think that the majority of us are in it for the same thing. It's the chase of the bargain. Good to hear positivity in the community :)
There will always be the bad eggs, and they'll be the ones who are the loudest (whether be them, or those that deal with them!)
