MOS Burger Australia Closure (Sept 1st 2024) and Loyalty Points Reminder

As a MOS Burger Australia 'Mos Club' member, I received an email notification a few minutes ago, saying that all MOS Burger Australia locations are going to close at end of August 31st 2024 - and as such, is a reminder to all MOS Club members to redeem their remaining 'Mos Club' loyalty points before end of August 31st.

I just checked the MOS Burger website, and their Facebook and Instagram channels … no posts pertaining to the above as I write this.

Damn I haven’t been to mos burger since week 2 of owning in 2011 when they opened the first one in Sunnybank. I wonder what happened to the old guy they had out front who would call out ‘mos burgerrr best burger in all of Japan!’ (Or something to that effect).

  • Never knew they existed here and then saw their locations were in whoop whoop. What a shame because I love eating there after a late night out in Tokyo.

  • Anyone feel that the classic MOS Burger doesnt taste the same as the ones in Japan? The menu here is very different to the Japanese or International stores which is a big shame as Spicy MOS Cheese Burger is my fav.

    • I tried it recently on the Gold Coast, the burgers aren't nice here, its a shame. Better off going to Wahlburgers

    • Japan uses/cooks beef differently in my experience, even if its imported from Australia.

  • is this legit? why hasn't this been posted anywhere else?…

    • I got the email from MOS as well.

  • I didn't even realise we had MOS Burger in Australia….

  • This is depressing… my wife and I went to MOS burger so many times when we were dating. Gonna have to go for one more burger in the next week.

This marks god knows how many eateries that has meant something to us and has closed down`in the past 4 years.
