[PRICE ERROR] 10x 50GB Verbatim BD-R $12 Pickup or $26 Delivered i-Tech

PRICE ERROR

Really good deal for the price. If you buy 10 packs of this it will cost $120 for 5TB! Cheaper than hard drives!

If you don't live in Sydney it would work out much cheaper to buy multiples of this as the delievery is quite high ($14).

Whoa… yeah! Was wondering when we'd again be at a point where optical media was better bang for your buck over mechanical or solid state. Nice find OP!

    • -2

optical media has been cheaper before, typically hdd=primary storage, fastest but most expensive per gb, optical=secondary storage, slower but cheaper, tape=tertiary storage usually offline, slowest, cheapest, backup only

    • I guess never, since this deal was a mistake.

  • This is the address if anyone is wondering.

  • Great price - about half the cost that many vendors try to get for the same disks on e-bay (eg 50 with shipping and CC fees just cost me $80.58). Now if you want to see expensive check out the cost of the 100GB BD-DL Discs… you would only get 1 for this sort of price!

    • Wow! Cheapest I've seen on eBay is $70 delivered for a 50x 25GB spindle [50x25= 1.25TB] (equates to $1.4/disc), but for $60 in this deal your get 2x capacity [50x50= 2.5TB] (equates to $1.2/disc) compared to ^^ so this is definitely a bargain!

great, now I have to buy a BR burner…vendors take note.

  • how long would it take to burn one tho? because it's "only" 4x with 50gb a pop…

    • This is why I never understood why people look for fast burners. Besides isn't it always best to do slow burns?

      • +1

Ahhh the days of buffer underuns & overburning….

And to answer your Q: yes its better, but too slow will cause ^BUs^.

    • I think it takes about 40 minutes for a 25gig so would be nearly 80 minutes at a guess.

      • wow! 80 mins a pop…

BTW, bought a few thanks OP!

  • 3 packs seems to be the best value if shipping is required.

  • does anyone know where to get the cheapest DVD double layer delivered?

  • sold out?

Its a freaking typo. i-tech contacted me saying it is actually for 1 disc not 10.

    • If you looked around the internet, the price is wayyy below everybody else. There goes my optical backup plans

  • In your recent order of Verbatim 50GB 4x Speed BD-R Blu-ray Recordable Disk 10 Pack BMDVERBD-R50DLP We're sorry to advise that this is a typo, it's actually a single disc, nota 10x pack. Your order has not being processed and will be deleted.
