[QLD] Coffee: Small $2, Medium $2.50, Large $3 @ Commonwealth Bank, 240 Queen St Brisbane

110

Hi everyone, long time lurker, occasional poster.

With the rising cost of living I have found a little Gem in Brisbane CBD for all those office workers doing it tough.

If you're anything like me - drink lots of coffee but want to be a good lil OzBargainer - it is becoming tough. Finding myself paying upwards of 5 bucks for a coffee, and struggling with Blend 63….In comes the Saviour…

On the ground floor of 240 Queen Street, Brisbane - within the CBA Branch (Ground floor) - the cafe offers coffees for much cheaper than your usual, so the big corporate finally giving some of that profit back. a cup at a time?

This deal may be present at other CBA branches with cafes in them.. please comment if you've noticed this and I'll update the post.

Those coffee machines used to be free at the Commonwealth Bank

Wife said the same.. used to be free.

Hhhu, Cafe/Coffee machine? A coffee machine does not make it a cafe!
A cafe needs a barrister (just in case they poison me with their coffee machine)

      • +1

A barrister to help you sue the coffee machine company, or a barista to make your coffee lol

        • I'm happy for the barrister to make my coffee, as long as they know what they're doing. I cannot say the same about the barista if I have to go to court.

Anyone able to get me a cheap flight to Brisbane?

A bargain is a bargain at the end of the day and we aren't here to sleep with spiders.

Tried to put that saying in the nicest possible way I could.

    :o)

      Pick up via drone mate.

Would need a big deal on Eneloops to deliver to Melbourne.

    • ….aren't here to sleep with spiders.

I guess you're saying those VIC women have hairy legs. (figures…it does get cold down there)

  • This might potentially be the only CBA branch in the country with a cafe?

A cafe in a bank. Must be because they're closing all the regional branches, the oldies need a tea and cake by the time they trudge all the way to the CBD to be able to talk to a real bank teller.

    • Last time I went to this exact branch they told me they couldn't help me in person and gave me the number to call. To be fair though the phone wait wasn't too long and they did solve my problem over the phone..

  • Cheaper coffee would be $1.50 @ 7-11 with app, free extra shot available since they charge by cup. You get a free coffee (or better reward) after every 6th transaction.

I am making this comment strictly about cheap coffee, not discussing about quality.

Would like to know how do you get an extra shot ? For me it is only pressing a button to choose which type of coffee, is there a button on the machine to add that extra shot ?

I add a short black into my coffee, you might want to stop the milk earlier so it doesn't overflow.

A short black and a long black fit perfectly into a small cup

  • How about the dude on Queen st, Auckland $2 NZD which is pish really, and you get two free cookies!!

  • Just go to any car dealership - free coffee…

    • True but also free intense salesman

    • A car dealership in Brisbane CBD for all those office workers??
