Yes, I got it. Thanks OP!

Yep saw it on the app and getting it tomorrow together with free coffee and $1.00 slurpee from Maccas and tell the Missus to cook some frenchies for when I get home for lunch. Everything's golden.

      You are living the life!

      • I bet he or she is creating a storm in Pacific 🙂

  • +1

I don't think this one's targeted, got it on each of my accounts, also expires in a couple of days unlike the usual following Monday.

  • +12

If only it were the Zinger not the Crispy! The Crispy is the most bland, flavourless thing KFC have (and considering how bland Original Recipe is, that's saying something).

    • Maybe you can change it to hot and crispy? What's the difference anyway, I've only had hot and crispy lately, I forgot what the original tastes like?

    • +9

You can at least swap out the mayo for supercharged sauce to get yourself halfway there

    • +7

Add some pepper mayo or supercharged sauce.

      • Yes it needs a better sauce. otherwise def worth $4

    • I liked how crispy mine was (granted, had to ask them to remake it)

    • Original Recipe was my go to. Have had a few Crispys and they've ranged between poor imitation and outright crap.

  • +1

How much is one burger now?

      In the OP:

KFC price varies by store. An original crispy burger costs approximate $8.

      $7.95 at my local.

    • +1

      7.95

    Got this, thanks OP.

Also thanks to Chipotle, Sweetgreens and Cava in the states causing Maccas earnings to drop there. KFC with so many deals lately probably acting before it happens here in Oz.

When Popeyes comes to Australia soon, kfc will be dead to me, it’s just that much better

      • I prefer Chick-fil-a. Too bad they are Christian based and prolly won’t make it to Australia

      • +7

Assuming it's anything like Popeyes in the US, that is. Like so many chain launches they'll adjust it to the Australian market, probably halve the spiciness of everything and make use of existing supply chains so it tastes the same as everything else here.

When Popeyes announced they were planning on coming here, I got excited. When they announced they were basically selling the name to an Australian food company… fairly less excited.

    did not get it :(

    • Everything in moderation, not sure if was a joke, but if so I don't find it funny…

      • +4

That is this person's standard comment for KFC posts. I guess the colonel touched him in a bad place.

    • I found it hilarious

      • +1

You might be immune to bad taste with that user name 🙂

  • Got it, thanks!

  • +1

    I've only got it with a combo…

    • Yep thats a seperate deal

I have with combo: $18.95 medium, $23.95 large
      I have without combo: $7.95

imo without is much better, essentially paying $10 for 2 medium chips and drink (which is worth like $7 max)

      • Nah, can’t get it here…

      • $23.95 for a large burger combo? When did that happen? I can get a giant burger with chips from my local Sports Club for $16 and a schooner for $7.

        • +1

          It's for a double combo (2 burgers, 2 chips, 2 drinks)

  • +6

    Just when I thought I was out…

  • +15

Weekly reminder that the $7.45 Burger Combo Deluxe is now $11.95, an increase of 60%. We can only blame inflation for so much.

    • +3

Yeah that was some BS. I think they realised it read too cheap

    • +1

It was $9.95 2.5 weeks ago.

      • +6

It was $8.45 several weeks ago.

KFC then rebranded the deal 'Packed Lunch' at $9.95, before shortly after adding a $2 surcharge for Original Recipe and Zinger.

        • hmm, i remember a few months ago they lowered the price temporary to $7.45, don't remember the $8.45 price

        • Are you able to quote me a specific date? I’ve checked my kfc orders for it going back until april. All seem to show $9.95 base price

    • +6

Greedflation. It was the best cheap feed.

      • -1

They are not greedy cuz their share price is deflationary mode.

  • +3

Don't forget to get 3 x free extra lettuce.

    • +5

I still have PTSD from the brief period when the lettuce was replaced with cabbage

    • How? Through app or ask at counter

  • I'm praying KFC see the light and bring back the original recipe, replaces it with this was such a huge mistake.

    • +1

Same here - to me the original crispy is just flavourless

  • +1

Got it on my account. $8 for one is too expensive so this deal is right!

  • +4

KFC has gone to crap in the last few months. Prices up, quality down. This hot 'n' crispy should be called thin 'n' dry. They've changed the hot 'n' spicy chicken and its crap now. The burgers are smaller at KFC. I'm most definitely not lovin' it.

    I'm in WA.

  • Mmmm, lunch sorted
    .

  • Got it, thanks!

  • +1

I'm in WA and the Zinger burger has gotten noticably smaller recently. I was shocked when I saw it, barely the size of a whopper jr.

    • haha Inflation

      • +1

price inflated food deflated.. haha 😭

  • +1

Place I went to offered to replace the chicken with Zingers because they didn't have any original crispy. Winner winner

  • Try to pay for it in the cart today, it shows "Promo conditions unmet to checkout". This offer can't be saved for later.
