Seems like a very good price and based on reviews it is the genuine product. In any event Temu has free 90 days return policy.

c. $500 elsewhere (note this is not the Lite version), RRP $599. Official website Amazon MWave

Can stack with either:

  • 55% cashback for new customers at Shopback (not sure if caps apply); or
  • any coupon pack (eg, $60 off $200, which you can obtain usually by making a first small order)

I used the $60 off making it $185, which is good value for a webcam that retails for $500. But if you can get it with 55% off cashback making it c.$120 that would make it a steal.

Been watching this at Temu - was selling last week I think at $485 so fingers crossed it is a real price reduction!

I have one on route so will update this post if it is fake etc, but apparently in the review someone showed a picture of it being genuine (but obviously review can be faked too). Temu has 60 days return etc so hopefully no issues.

I have a real camera I use with a 4k cam link :D yeah I don't deal with webcams any more.

    • Which camera is it looking for similar setup? Any other suggestions welcome too

Canon R50 with ultra wide angle lens

    • I was using my Sony A7 just via HDMI at 1080p and it still shits all over the new 4k Logitech webcam I got. The Logitech was pretty expensive as well, I think over $300. Work paid for it but it's pretty poor quality

      • Even a used A7 (just the body) is several times more expensive than any webcam.

        • True, I had one lying around and started using during lockdown as webcams were hard to get.

Do not use temu. The app and platform has been proven time and time again to be security and data nightmares. If the various studies on the app and the companies prior behaviour isnt enough (a former app, pinduoduo, was banned from tbe play store) the thousands of anecdotes about credit card fraud right after a first temu purchase should be. And the lucky dip that is product quality.

    • Interesting didn't know about the security threat. I guess you can pay via PayPal, Karna, Afterpay etc if concerned re CC details. I haven't had my CC be subject to frauds yet fingers crossed!

Temu is as unreliable or reliable as Aliexpress - obviously could have data leak issues with app etc. But both are now huge in US etc so I doubt they would be blatantly be fraudulent etc

No, no it isn't. It's far worse.

I doubt they would be blatantly be fraudulent

"What you doubt" isn't a metric. You don't have to like it, but stop minimising it because you're not aware of the issues.

        • I can only share my own personal experience from orders from them. Anyways not trying to defend them

  • Any experience on use for the bedroom computer?

  • The temu app is absolutely horrible.
Iā€™d rather pay full price then deal with the constant pop ups and spin to win, and other crap they offer you.

  • why would someone need a PTZ webcam? I tend to sit in one spot in front of my computer

  • $299 on Amazon and $159 for the 1080p model.

    • That's the Lite model slightly smaller censor 1/2" and some other differences

      • Oh - didn't see that. Cheers.

  • Get a phone number only for temu or similar scenarios šŸ˜„

  • The real problem is that I don't want to do business with platforms that withhold money from merchants and impose arbitrary fines.

  • I hope this is fake for my sake. Paid full price a month ago

  • I feel like it's too obscure of a product for someone to be manufacturing fakes of it…
