  • "I've gone through 3 bottles and really think it makes a difference long term. plus nothing like applying snail jizz all over my face every day and night" - MustardKetchup

  • "I often get red blotchy spots / dry skin around my nose quite often and this is actually the only thing that's stopped it applying it once per morning. Obviously YMMV but it's definitely improved my skin in that area. Can't really smell it either. Super gooey though" - Mbix

  • "My HG though I prefer the snail mucin essence in the pump bottle, easier to use." - sal78

Plus a vote a confidence from resident skincare guru Moocher

  • "I haven't used this myself, but you'll find plenty of positive reviews on the internet as it's a very popular korean beauty product."

Its pretty cruel how they make it..poor little snails =\

It's not actual snail, it's their excretion, "mucin". The product page goes to great lengths to let the reader know that the snails are leading their best possible life.

    • No snails are harmed - see FAQ on the product

    • They actually found they get a better and higher quality yield when the snails are comfortable. They place them
In a dark, warm and humid container where they glide around on a fine mesh for an hour leaving their mucin behind on the mesh. After the hour they are removed and placed back in their usual enclosure where they have food and other snail amenities. Then the mucin can be washed off the mesh, filtered processed and dried to powder so it can be reconstituted and added to their products.

Just saw some comments saying it made them break out in acne and the recommendation is to test it on a small area first

As well as some comments by people with sensitive skin that it made them itchy.

    • +2

Patch testing is good practice for any skincare product, snail-related or not.

Very true! Just saw about 8 comments saying they had the same problem in a thread with about 20-30 commenters so thought worth mentioning.

  • It helps my skin stay moisturised during the winter. I highly recommend it.

  • 92% snail mucin, is this better than hyaluronic acid serum ?

    • It actually has hyaluronic acid in this formula. I use the 96 daily and have no issues.

Do you put snail shit on your face, dating questions updated.

  • Bought one last time but they refunded it soon after. Never knew why.

    • Did you use it? I bet you didn't, otherwise you would know why they refunded you without your consent.

  • Is mucin just a marketing term for snail slime?

    • -2

I think you'll find it's the scientific term. And 3 seconds on google would have told you that.

      • Always one. aNd 3 sEcOnD oN gOogLe.

You know you could have just answered my question without being like that, right?

    • It’s the technical term. The same way that testicles is a “marketing term” for balls.
