My misso was obsessed with these for a while but the effectiveness we found to be not very or purely coincidental.
Now that our kids are older we just use the kids aeroguard , or the aeroguard naturals one. I usually just go all out and cover myself in bushman’s when it comes back to the hell that is midge season.
Yeah, I wasn't sure how well they actually work, but with a 3 and 6 year old with quite sensitive skin, these seemed a better option.
I also got some of the "breathe easy" ones, which actually work ok, better than slapping Vicks on them, which they've then accidentally rubbed into their eyes haha
we found euky bear breathe easy (i forget the exact name) inhalant with a diffusion unit worked quite well too in conjunction with rubs.
