This has been driving me up the wall. The last time I was able to buy a boost sim was in May, and only one at that. After countless attempts including using nicknames, 'accidentally' putting 'typos' in date of birth and address, changing mobile number and payment card, and trying different devices, browsers and networks, I am just about done with this. (For what it's worth, I currently have one active yearly plan and four expired services under my boost id. And ever since I knew of cashback deals, I have probably bought just over ten in total.)
I went on the boost chat and these are the rep's exact words: "a huge volume of customers are trying to purchase the same sim card with the Boost discount offer causing a huge traffic and delay in the purchase of the offer". After a little more arm twisting, he said I should just try again the next day and contact them if anything further happens (which I sadly anticipate… I have been trying ever since the boost cashback deal came back.)
So I thought I'd make a last ditch poll. My question to you all: Who is able to buy a boost sim? (Or what are your experiences with the boost website?)
No issues buying Boost SIMs online, but I went into JB last week twice trying to sign up to a Telstra postpaid plan and their system flat out refused to accept any credit or debit card gave them. Tried 4 cards from 4 separate banks on 2 separate days.
I've got something wrong with my Telstra ID, but the front line support have no idea how to fix it.
Ended up getting my wife to put it in her name.
I've purchased 40+ Boost SIMs over the past couple of years, most recent would be 2 months ago.
