Hi Team Is This Laptop up to Snuff for Fairly Basic Tasks? (ThinkPad L14 AMD Gen 3)

I'm looking to buy a laptop, I've already got a gaming PC that slays so it's more just for word processing, internet, movies and very basic games when out and about.

4chan rates thinkpad laptops and I noticed that this model has changeable RAM. It's a refurb. The games I want to play on it are Factorio, Rimworld, Dwarf Fortress, Cogmind maybe Baldurs Gate 3 if I can get over the fact the combat is turn based.

      Ok no worries. I don't know about those games, but this laptop would absolutely be suitable for basic stuff.

      Also there was (probably still is) and Lenovo ThinkPad deal on ozbargain, which would also absolutely meet your basic needs (again, not sure about gaming). From memory it was about 900 brand new.

  Basic tasks - fine. Baldurs Gate stands out - I think a more powerful GPU would be required
