Last year highlights you can read:

"All activities are free but places are limited, so time is of the essence."

This sentences below you cannot access (from the first link) if you are not AFR subscriber or use Bypass Paywalls Clean extension :
"On show will be the latest models revealed at this year’s giant Watches and Wonders fair in Geneva. There are watchmaking masterclasses, historical pieces from watchmakers’ heritage collections, a world-famous brand ambassador or two, hands-on demonstrations of engraving, virtual-reality tours of manufactures and – drumroll please – live testing of waterproofing a watch under pressure.

Many brands will hold About Time activities in parts of their stores normally reserved for their VIP customers. Our partners will have plenty of refreshments on hand to sweep you though the day, ranging from German beers to Italian snacks to New York-style lobster rolls – and for dessert, there’ll be watches made from gelato!

Book slots with as many brands as you fancy. Events are scheduled for every hour between 10am and 5pm on each Saturday and Sunday in both cities. These can be done solo, or with your partner or a group of friends, but a booking for each person in your party is essential.

Participating in Melbourne are Bulgari, Girard-Perregaux, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Omega, Panerai and Vacheron Constantin.

Participating in Sydney are A. Lange & Söhne, Bulgari, Cartier, Chopard, Grand Seiko, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Omega, Panerai, Piaget, Ralph Lauren, Tudor and Vacheron Constantin.

Between appointments, Melbourne attendees can unwind and enjoy snacks and beverages in our exclusive lounge area at Lillian Brasserie at Society on Collins Street. Attendees in Sydney can enjoy the hospitality at The Charles Grand Brasserie and Bar on King Street. We ask attendees to pop into Society or The Charles at the start of their day to check in and pick up their lanyard to access brands’ activations."

Enjoy your window shopping and snacks :P Check watch shop websites before buying watch/watches to get a better deal …

Another free event in Sydney until August 19 for jewellery shop owners and watch shop owners, etc.:

  • Thanks OP.

  • How strict are they with checking bookings? Got one for myself but not one for the missus… would be lovely to go together as a date.
