Robotika Provac-XWD Robot Vacuum for $999 @ JB HiFi.

No idea if this is any good compared to the Ozbargain favourites, hoping someone here has one and can provide feedback.

In store offer was they could do it for $750 (YMMV). Tempting with the gift cards I just got whilst getting a couple of Pixel Pro XLs.

There’s a few “brands” with this model, some in white, reviews from those who’ve purchased sound good but it’s always early days so no idea on longevity. Though one of the other brands a review said they cannot find replacement dust bags anywhere

    • What were the other brands, or any idea who makes this?

Couple I can think of are LYNKBEY M20 Pro & LINKBEY M50 Pro.

        • APS do one of them in white called the Arise Comfort Roboclean iR24. These are just the first movers I assume there’s a few people watching Chinese manufacturers to jump into the market take some cash then disappear before any warranty issues can arise…maybe I’m too cynical

  • Where is lidar?

    • Punjab, India.

    • “Worlds first” hidden LiDAR I guess is good for getting under things, I thought retractable would be the next iteration but if they can just make it flush then I’m sure the next gens will all be like this. Same as roller mops will be the next big thing now Dreame have shown how much better it is.

With the Eufy x10 Omni at @1184 at good guys commercial I think this needs to be cheaper than 999.

Price to import them from china seems to be around 340USD (bulk import price) then add costs for warranty and branding etc and how much you have to pay to be ranged in stores like jb I’m guessing they don’t have the margin to go much lower than the 750 mentioned above

  • I'm guessing it's cheap as it uses the inferior dToF radar (infrared) rather than Lidar (laser) .

  • Dis anyone else bought for $750 ?
    Which store
    What does YMMV means?

    • YMMV - Your Mileage Might Vary

$750 sounds about right for a retail stores “floor cost” so if you want one try and negotiate to there, talk about warranty and accessory and parts availability and point out the other brands with the same item makes you think it’s a cheap Chinese pump and dump so you don’t think it’s worth $999 etc etc

  • Although I appreciate bargains - it is after all why I'm here, are randomly branded devices we know nothing about really bargains because they are cheap?

I wouldn’t take a punt on this unless it was much cheaper, but it’s feature set is quite good and ever company starts somewhere….probably worth the post to show what options are out there and people can make decisions for themselves.

I actually saw the linkbey version yesterday (neighbour bought one) and it worked great but it’s too much for me personally to take a chance on because knowing my luck it would have warranty issues and the company won’t exist anymore. I guess buying from JB you might have an avenue for a refund in the first year…..
