Intel H and U Serial Which One Is Faster? Same Pricing

Let's compare:

i5-13420H

and

i5-1335U

i5-13420H has base power of 45w, is this making a difference comparing to i5-1335U base power is just 15w?

1335u has Maximum Turbo Power of 55w, can user configure to this or the laptop manufactory?

1335u has two more total cores than 13420H but 13420H has four P-cores , so which one is more powerful in terms of adobe graphic software use?

  • Comparing at CPUBenchmark, there is very little single core diffference. The H uses more power (this will be single-figure dollars per year extra cost).

Multi core performance favours the H with the higher power.

Supposedly Adobe software now takes more advantage of multi-core processing, etc. Bu in the range of CPUs I have at my office I can't see much different tbh.

I guess, given the price difference is likely fairly small ($100 or less), and if you are doing stuff of a level with Adobe programs that leads you to this question, go with the H.

If you are making the choice between 2 similarly priced laptops I wouldn't base the purchasing decision between a 13th Gen H vs U CPU, which is only 1 small part of the entire system and probably likely to be inconsequential. Not to mention these 2 laptops are probably going to be quite different in terms of weight / size (H CPU needs better cooling for eg)

You might want to look at the screen specs (Delta E levels, display resolution, and color accuracy), battery life, quality of the keyboard / trackpad, how much RAM it has and storage options.
