I recently purchased a Kyocera Ecosys MA2100cwfx for about $430, for light use in a small office. A plus is that it can use clone toner - at a third of the price of originals.

I was recently screwed over by a small Brother colour MFC which had a firmware update which prevented use of clone toner. A set of four Brother toners would cost more than the printer!

My only other advice is: really question whether you actually need colour printing. Mono lasers are so cheap now for everyday stuff, and if you need quality colour it can be more effective to go to OW, etc for those occasions.
