Thanks OP. Scooped up a bunch for the family.
Ugh, can't even filter by gender.
Can filter by size, which will refine things a bit.
I once purchased an XL Jacket from Rivers Online and instead they sent me kids clothing. Contacted support about it, they dragged their feet then eventually ghosted me. If you have to purchase something from them, do so in-store.
Last time (and it was, and will be, the last time) I purchased in-store I inadvertently bought an item that was missing some trim. Took it straight back, they couldn't replace as it was the last one, and they wouldn't refund - cocky little shop boy told me I could still wear it even though it was damaged.
I emailed their head office and after two months was told that they don't have a refund policy, only store credit. I thanked them for explaining in writing that they would not honour their ACL obligations and within a couple more weeks I received a further email saying they were sending me a cheque due to my "unique circumstance". Not really sure what was so unique about it, I bet I'm not the only one they did that to. I have not set foot in a Mosaic Brands store since.
I totally get that. My incident was 5+ years ago, and I have not shopped at Rivers since. Somewhere in Australia, a parent is still waiting for their kids' clothes while they are stuck with my massive jacket collecting dust in a closet.
Glad they're going bankrupt.
It's a shame really. Before Mosaic Brands bought them out, Rivers was fantastic. They had great clothing and shoes, really good quality, a great range, and took pride in their offerings. I enjoyed their catalogues, which were full of recommendations from people who actually worked for the company. Then they were bought out and everything plummeted.
They once sent me several XLarge, Women dresses. They look nice but unfortunately, I am neither…
That's weird, I've had to send several things back and never had a problem. You mention an incident five years ago, I wonder if things are different now?
Unless they've picked up their act since last November - nope.
Are these sizes right? 101-105cm chest for a small?
Yes. Rivers demographic are those of truck driver build
I have never been to this store before, anyone know any TCN or ultimate gift cards that are accepted at Rivers?
WARNING
https://www.smh.com.au/business/companies/millers-noni-b-kat….
The parent company of budget clothing brands Millers, Katies, Noni B and more is seeking advice on options to refinance and restructure the company as it struggles to recover from a pullback in consumer spending, a botched technology rollout and poor sales.
The share price of ASX-listed clothing company initially nosedived 24 per cent after emerging from a trading halt shortly before midday on Wednesday, following confirmation it had engaged Deloitte to advise on “refinancing considerations”, including safe harbour provisions, as first reported by The Australian Financial Review. Its shares ended down 13 per cent to 4¢.
ALSO
Between September 2021 and March 2022, Mosaic advertised on its brand websites that it would deliver clothes bought online between two and 17 business days from the purchase date. However, more than one-fifth of the orders were dispatched from Mosaic’s warehouses more than 20 days, and in some cases even 40 days, after customers bought them, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission claims.
Be warned!
they brought this on themselves with their strict returns policies. I have looked at online sales, but their returns and refunds policies were a deal breaker, so I never bothered purchasing anything. I purchase heaps of things online at Dotti during sales, and never have an issue with returns, and I can just go in store for a refund, or exchange if they have the item there in my size. Sometimes the items are only available online though. When you are buying things that you have no idea if they will fit or suit, you need the option to return or replace, and preferably doing in store, not having to send back to then hope for a refund….keeps me coming back to Dotti.
I received half of my last order, the rest never to be seen or refunded. Suggest buying on that assumption.
Does anyone know if you paid via PayPal would you be covered for both goods not delivered or if rivers goes liquidation?
If PayPal can't pull enough funds from their account to refund you, then you're out of luck.
I'd only buy in-store with the express notice that you shouldn't expect any kind of returns or refunds at all.
Do sizes run small or big? Been a while
Big
$20 off for first order over $100 code: GDAY20
I saw it after placing the order unfortunately
Let the river run . .
Just be warned if you are thinking you’ll be getting your order in a few day’s you’ll be wrong. Expect your order to arrive between 2-4 weeks. That’s my experience anyway. I don’t order online with Rivers and their associate stores.
Anyone else have had spam SMS and Emails from signing up to their "members" account. I have has SMSs from other rivers owned companies with no real way to unsubscribe or cancel the membership.
Deals look good, have to admit, but judging by the comments, I won't risk the headache this might cause down the track, seems like wrong sizing, bad quality and long delivery times are consistent issues people are experiencing…..
I placed 2 orders on friday the 16th and both have a arrived today. Perfect conditions, no issues with delivery. Got all my items (15) in the correct sizes and the quality is decent for the price.
