    thanks. these are good tees

  • +4

I already have all the colours 😭

    • @R1lol R these shirts true to size, thanks.

      • +1

pretty true to size from my experience, the only shirt that fit slightly smaller is black for some reason

        • Thank you

  • -7

    only tiny sizes

    • +1

Purple seems to be the only colour without a full size run. Or am I missing something?

      • +8

        they're big boned

  • +2

The quality of the shirt looks good, but the massive collar on the neckline makes it look cheap and tacky

    • +6

I guess style is subjective. I like the collar and the quality of the shirt is fantastic. These don’t twist in the wash and last ages.

I’m wearing one right now I just realised lmao

massive collar on the neckline makes it look cheap and tacky

That’s an odd equivalence to make, and incorrect. It’s a detail that references traditional t-shirt design. There are tees far more expensive with a similar collar

      • +7

agree. style is of course subjective … but I've never once thought yooo that dude's got a massive collar on his t-shirt, must be from the bargain bin.

    • Saw this comment the other day and went in to try this shirt on. I must agree, the collar style is not for me. Even in black I didn't think it looked good

      • I think a larger collar only looks 'good' in an oversized fit shirt (which is more Gen Z fashion though). Otherwise, I prefer a standard / slimline collar when wearing a crew neck.

The quality went down for me. I had uniqlo shorts that lasted like 8 years. The next batch only 2 years

    • 2 years?! I tend to replace them after about 5 washes. They stretch and look like crap after a while (like most tees)

At these prices they are pretty much disposable

  • Speaking of quality, did anyone see/ does anyone remember seeing maybe a social media post my Uniqlo or maybe an in-store promo showing 2 identical crew t-shirts side-by-side with a claim that their t-shirt would still look the same after years of use. What was that about? Did Uniqlo offer refunds or replacements for wear and tear, like Woolies with their green bags?? Why did this deal trigger this memory in me???

    gains character after each wash

Does gain character mean fade in colour? cos that's all mine have done :/

    Good tees, Zuckerberg approved too.

    • Shop like a billionaire?

These are great T-shirts. Very thick, but comfortable material…I imagine this is the way shirts felt back in the 50s when things weren't so disposable and you wore your T-shirts till they died.

  • +1

Satisfyingly heavy fabric , and doesn’t shrink over time from what I’ve seen. Colour on black can fade, which if you perspire tho I’m yet to investigate dying at home, has anyone done this?

Can have a course feeling to the fabric, so if you’re sensitive to textures , check it in person before purchase.

Thick fabric means any musty/mould issues take a heavier wash/rinse to resolve.

I’m a supima fan, but I do have some of these thicc boys. They feel like a tank compared to most other cotton Ts.

  • +2

These are rough on my skin. I need to try Uniqlo U Airism. What do you all reckon?
Supima is my favourite but it's got very thin. I noticed 2 new colours at Uniqlo and those were made in Vietnam and had much thicker fabric like old times.

    • +3

The Airism U might be a good compromise for you. Thicker than Supima but less scratchy than these 100% cotton U tees

    • I can’t stand the fabric blend used for Airism, myself, but YMMV.

    • I really like Airism. Didn't think I would, but the cotton to poly blend is good imo. It's heavy and soft Tshirt without the scratchy 100% cotton feel like others have said

  • I've seen positive comments on here for the Kmart 100% Australian cotton tees. Any opinions?

    • Hard to argue with the price, but I’m personally not a fan of the shape. Not too bad if it’s tucked in though

    • I use these mostly for cheap WFH shirts. They do shrink, and are quite cheap fabric as you'd expect, but good enough for a 'house shirt'.

  • Thanks OP. Uniqlo U is the first exclusion listed on all three big Cashback platforms but thick t shirts aren't common and Uniqlo quality is pretty good compared to say, Cotton On.

  • How do these compare with AS Colour?

    • I've been looking at them, they're like double the price! Must be good though I'm interested to try some

    • Thicker and better fit than AS Colour, imo.

      • Which AS Colour? Classic Tee is 220 GSM so you wouldn't want it thicker than that.

        • I was comparing to the staple tees. I'd say they're probably similar to the classic tees in that case

  • I've been wearing the same 4 Uniqlo tees around the house for years now. Guess it's time I replace them.

  • Does anyone know if Uniqlo sells 'long' torso shirts? Like AS colour has 5cm longer versions, would love to know if Uniqlo has similar options. I like to wear shirts not tucked in but hate it when it rises when I bend over and shows my lower back
