  • So with one health fund card (HCF) I get to pick a $199 designer glasses x2?

    • +2

yes, but check your limits, if you already have cover for $199+ then no need to get this deal, can get it any time, only good for those with lower limits

      • +1

Got $200 from HCF on optical. This sounds like a good deal if I can get 2 pairs of different glasses!

        • +2

you can pickup 2 pairs all the time if you can spend $200 on optical (from their $199 range).

Nice. Lucky i had my eye sight test done.
Will use my AHM limit to get 2 pairs tomorrow

I went in store a week or so ago. They done the $199 for any two deal for me. They probably knew I wouldn't be happy if I found out about it later on.

  • At deals on the $299 range as I am looking for half rim frames

If I have a $150 Medibank optical limit, does this mean I can get 2x pairs from $249 range for free?

    • Yes

    • you will get 100% back up to your limit. You will still be out of pocket

  • First time needing a prescription (+1.0 add). Went into National Pharmacy and they had all their $29 reading glasses going out for $5. I can't see any difference to the 2 for $200 glasses.

I'm probably missing something, but work for me. Used my private health for sunnies instead.

  • Im with Ahm and have $200 gap, are specsavers giving out free glasses in the 2 for $199? Meaning my gap wont be affected?

  • I went to SS store twice, tempted by their promotion. both ended up with a huge gap amount as my degree is high and some of the part are not covered.

if you can get to optometrist warehouse, try them.

  • Cant see the free reflective coating promo, is it expired?

        Ah awesome thanks!

      • Has the page changed since your comment mate? A google search mentions the free reflective coating deal expiring on the 30th of August, but can't actually find anything on page sadly

        • +1

Looks like it has, best to contact Medibank see if it’s still available, but real deal imo is the no gap if you have a lower limit

          • @RogueWolf: Definitely appreciate you posting the deal, got laser a few years back but still have a slight prescription need, vision is pretty good but if I can get a couple pairs of sunnies for summer for little cost then why not!

            • @MBix: No probs, Done the same got two pairs of sunglasses, surprisingly one spec saver store wouldn’t let me get sunglasses said the rules have changed & told me to go another store, was weird but other store done it no issue

    • Specsavers are unaware of this as i got charged for the coating on the 2nd pair
Medibank says to go back and make sure they reverse the charge and ensure they put in the correct item number in the claim

      • Yeah i managed to get it but had to show them the promo page.

  • I don't think the Free UltraClear SuperClean deal is active anymore as I was only given 25% off. Tried to load up the deal page to show them but it is showing "25% off lens options" as well.

However, I was not limited to the $249 range and could select anything in store including the $399 ultralight range. Ended up getting 2 pairs from the $349 range.

    • It seems they ended the deal early despite a google search saying August 31st. The consultant apparently still honoured it for me, but then I was charged full price for polarising on the sunnies side instead of the 25% off. So ended up being $100 for normal glasses with UltraClear + sunnies with polarising, but I dare say it would have been free if I didn't want polarising
