I've been looking for backpacks from The North Face for a little while. The Recon is apparently one of their best. They look to be RRP $240 on the official AU store and all seem $200+ on Amazon and eBay etc and sometimes closer to $300.

The Timber Tan-Demitasse Brown and Navy coloured ones are apparently $80.99 off (so down to $159) if you sign up for their Club membership. Free shipping on orders over $99. Seems like a pretty good bargain to me.

I'm holding out for a colour I like better for now, but might pull the trigger on the brown one soon.

    I have this backpack in green and I'm always surprised at the amount of stuff you can pack in this. Took it through the Himalayas on a 4-day hike and the only thing I wish it had was a mesh separator on your back, (not sure what it's called). It does tend do get hot and sweat if you carry it for long time in warm, humid areas.

      Hmm, seems like there's images of the black, but I can only select Timber Tan as the colour. I'm holding out for the Evergreen I think.
