How to Keep Indonesian Telkomsel Active in Australia

I want to keep my Telkomsel number active as its linked to my grab and ovo premier and shopee etc.

You all know the headache involved when you lose your number. But in true Indonesian fashion the expiry dates are so short (30 days). Currently I top up my Telkomsel number through the app using ovo as payment for Rp5,000 for Voice/SMS but this gets annoying and if I forget the number goes into suspension
and I only go back to Indo once a year.

I understand Bima (3) and other networks have long expiration dates but in Borneo the reception is a lot less and internet speeds too so i don't want to change provider.

Anyone know a way to get a longer expiry or setup auto payments to keep the number active? What do Expats do?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Just make sure your grab and gojek are linked to a valid email and set up with a password.

You should be able to just recover the account with a new sim every time you go back if you have it set up.
(Can’t comment on how long gojek or grab let’s accounts sit dormant for though)

I've had no problem using Grab again after a few years of inactivity.
