NoBigDeal blog contributors requried

Hoping this is allowed to be posted here. Please move/delete if not.

We have just set up a new Deal aggregator website (http://www.nobigdeal.com.au) However rather than just pulling in a load of deals from OurDeal, LivingSocial etc we want to still keep it kind of personal. As such we have our Twitter/Facebook feeds which we are trying to update, but we also have a blog section.

What we'd like to do is get some contributors on to the blog side of it. Commenting on with whats going on in Australia/NZ, shopping, events, some of the deal promotions etc.

Of course, we are looking for people who have a reasonable understanding of the English language but it will be a fairly easy going blog section with some light humour as well.

If anyone is interested in blogging on our site as a contributor please feel free to contact us at:

[email protected]

or from the website contact form.

Many thanks

  • If a deal is crap or has heaps of unhappy buyers across lots of group buying sites (ie Volcanic grill in East Perth or Bula in Morley) will you print warnings if the bloggers write these warnings?

  • If we are reading your question correctly you are asking if we would add a blog post informing buyers that a known deal could potentially be a problem for purchasers ie not being fulfilled etc?

I'm not sure why or what we would report about if a deal was deemed 'crap' that is open to one persons interpretation and may be useful to the next visitor and we are not a name & shame or complaint service of group deal advertisers.

However, if a known issue was pertinent to general users across multiple deal sites then we would investigate and remove the deal from our website based on information provided if required as that would be our choice.

We would be happy to look at blog about general advice to assist where the latter may be the case, with a round up of best known contact details etc, if someone wants to contribute that information then even better.

    Many thanks, NBD Team

I think he is asking about 'blogging' posts about:-

    1) known scams eg.
    a. fake memory scams
    b. false/fake price scams eg. set up a web site to 'establish' a selling price of 3 to 10 times the normal/usual selling price

    2) disgraceful/disgusting restaurant 'deals' - often 'set-up' by falsifying the name of the restaurant and/or the price/value of the food/meals offered.

  • We pull in deals automatically via XML feeds, so we have little choice as to what comes in. However we have an option to remove those deals should they arrive on the site.

We are looking for contributors to the blog site for light hearted informative information on whats going on in Australia and New Zealand. Events, Interesting news etc.

So, useless 'twaddle', not useful informative posts?

      Exactly.

I am not interested in such drivel. I can get that here at OzB already and Allthedeals.com.au for the aggregation of deals.
