Isn't that the benefit though? Usually any kind of one way trip costs more with any kind of rental, but this lets you do a one way trip and fly back without having to see exactly the same stuff along the way again.
That's the saving. One way drop offs normally include extra fees. Obviously they need vans back in Brisbane etc so will discount the trip and remove the fee. Apollo used to do $1 a day for one way rentals to get vans back to bases. Sometimes even paying the fuel.

What's borderline comedic is the OPs website is actually offering me the same price through the use of the "AUGUST20" code (that was automatically applied) for a return rental as it is for a oneway rental meaning there is an even better deal then the 15% they're sharing above.
As an example I'm seeing $268.32 to hire and return to Cairns for 2 days but the exact same price for 2 days picking up in Cairns and dropping off in Brisbane.
