I went to Woolies and there was none, have now found out they stopped making it. I wanted the no added sugar or salt one. luckily I found a Bega one, which they have had trouble keeping up production with.

yes I knew that. My guess is that peanut butter costs too much to make
Yup, they also operate hospitals and clinics, big one at Wahroonga

Big? Its huge. It also has accommodation for 60 nurses on site.

I've worked there.
The accommodation is handy for on-call staff. If you're on call you have to be there within 20 minutes of the call, so if you live more than 20 minutes away you have to stay on site.
Though for the most part if you live too far you just don't do on-call.
The hospital added a massive second tower that doubled the number of theatres, the theatre dept tea room is huge!
You don't have to be Adventist to work there, but the hospital values are unabashedly very Christian.
@Minimum chips: My partner lived there before we met. She loved working there.
She wasn't an Adventist.
@Minimum chips: The hospital also has great values in terms of the professional expectations and standards for the staff working there.
Now tell me the story of corn flakes and Kellog's sanitarium……. ;P
Well they wouldn’t be selling Sao biscuits.
SBS world movies channel was running The Road to Wellville in regular rotation a while back.
Amusing little dramady based loosely on this.did you know…
I thought everybody knew that…
Godspeed
That's crazy
Switch to Skippy and live a happier life
The bush kangaroo?
Ooh yeah by far the nicest (I love it) but probably the worst peanut butter for your health…!
Skippy is pretty much the opposite of no added sugar & salt that the OP is after.
Thanks Pam 🙏
You put the pam in Spam
and I wont say what your name reminds me of
what is it? gyro?
dildo?
Bi-Lo?
They stopped making the fruity bix bars too. I miss those.
God told them to stop being nuts
My peanut butter is freshly ground at South Melbourne market. No sugar, salt or preservatives.
Apparently my phantom negger is at it again. Unless we have a fan of sugar salt and preservatives in their peanut butter.
It's the Sugar Cartel hitman I reckon…..
Ya just can’t trust Big Salt.
Good choice. Allows you to scoff some South Melbourne Market dimmies.
Not a big dimmy’s fan. I had a friend who called them roo balls and used to sniff them.
However the Gozleme place there is terrific. It comes with yoghurt and a splash of lemon juice.
I like the Bega one better than Sanitarium's product, hope you do too.
yesterday Amazon said it was out of stock for 2 months, but luckily today it was back in stock.ordered 2 jars
Can you pls share link to this? Does this without sugar and salt?
Thanks@screensaver: Thanks mate
If its not selling, Colesworth derange it. Thats why i now shop at Aldi/Costco, and they are far cheaper. Prices are not inflated by Rewards systems, and a lousy 4c off a litre , which is useless if you own an EV.
Ive been using woolies 10 percent off plus discount giftcards, plus bonus points system
I'll admit I do the same discounted rewards cards, 2x 10% off, max loyalty points..
Aldi still significantly cheaper.
However Woolies has free fruit for my kid, and while it costs more she loves picking out a piece of free fruit or two while we cruise the supermarket.
Damn you Woolies you won us over with literally free bananas.
My local Coles was also black listed for similar reasons no free fruit, it breakers her heart if she gets into a trolley and their is no free fruit. However they recently introduced free fruit so they back in the running!!
Now all I need is aldi to get on board with the free fruit and we can go back to being Aldi shoppers.
Can anyone show a side by side comparision of like goods bought at Aldi vs Woolies? Not the ones that show brand name purchased at Woolies and homebrand at Aldi. Same brand or if using homebrand both should be homebrand I just dont see the "heaps cheaper" to be true for my shopping habbits, after I user the 10% off and the 5% giftcards I feel like its swings and round abouts and with the discount actually cheaper at Woolies. I do purchase some items at Aldi like some of their cheeses but I dont see across the board huge price savings, are people just saving casue there is less to buy so they feel they have saved a lot?
A more interesting forum post would be is it Peanut Butter or Peanut Paste?
Prefer the US spread from ALDI anyway, less floaty oils and tastier.
you mean more sugar, salt and shitty stabilizers?
Well, sugar and salt are what make things tastier.
I'm stunned by how bland some of the "natural" style peanut butters are.
Used to be called Peanut Paste in Queensland because the peanuts that ran the Country Party said only dairy butter could use the word butter.
TIL.
How 'peanut butter' branding was banned in some states after historical dairy industry protest
the ban spread to South Australia and Western Australia, but in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania peanut butter remained in use.
Why is it still on Sanitarium's website?
It sounds like it has been de-listed from WW
no they answered someone on facebook, not making it anymore
I used to buy the Sanitarium ones, switched to this brand as they also have the smooth/ no added sugar/ salt.
https://mayvers.com.au/"Google, play Sanitarium by Metallica"…
too dry
Didn't ask
then scroll on
They kind of got left behind with so many different brands entering that category over the years (Pics, Mayvers, Fix and Fogg, Novya, Bega Natural etc) until eventually they sat on the bottom shelf for years and barely moved enough volume.
This is the peanut butter I use regularly too :'(. Sad news.
Oh no…anyway
Maybe because it may contain traces of nuts?
Aldi sell a crunchy and smooth option with no added sugar or salt.
Mayver's dark roasted is the one for me! Available in Colesworth and AMZN too.
Do you want no sugar/salt or no oils altogether because the added non-peanut oil options are more popular & less healthy.
Mavers, Pics, Bega simply nuts are the 3 options still on the shelf.
The bega simply nuts one just has Australian nuts and a very small amount of salt.
Anyone remember the ETA 5 star (or whatever brand it was) peanut butter that contained honey?
Random interesting fact, did you know sanitarium is named after the Kellog's sanitarium, where the guy who started sanitarium worked at. The Sanitarium being a health retreat for a religious health diet prescribed by the church. Sanitarium is still owned by the church
