This is a long-running free course by SAS, who have been providing statistical analytics software for 50 years. It's an introductory course on data literacy, so it's not suited for the data expert but is good for family members to help give some basics that aid in interpreting the news and other information, including verifying its veracity.
As an aside, while looking for a free SAS account I found SAS for Academics: https://welcome.oda.sas.com/ - it's an online-only SAS instance that you can use for free after registration. It doesn't require a .edu account. There's another SAS site that does, SAS Academic portal, which is more modern but I don't know what's behind it: https://www.sas.com/en_au/learn/academic-programs/educators.…
Didnt know the British military are also into IT courses.
