Best Bargain Camera Phone around $400-$600

Hi, just wanted a recommendation for the best camera phone available around $400-$600. I'm not looking for phones that's RRP is in that range, I'm only looking for absolute steals. I purchased a Pixel 7 same time last year for roughly half price ($550) so looking for a similar smashing deal for the Mrs. Her number one priority is for it to have the best camera and not be way too old (ideally no more than a year old model). Thanks guys!

Just some ideas to get started:

    -Google Pixel 7a

    • Google Pixel 8a. A bit over your maximum budget.
It will cost $679 all up outright with 28 days 32GB sim plan included.
*But if you happen to have a discount code for $200 off any mobile at Amaysim this will come down to $479 all up instead of $679 without coupon code.

Just noting Pixel 8a will be getting 7 years of OS & security updates whilst Pixel 7a is supported for 3 years OS updates/5 years security updates. Keep that in mind. Just to keep maximum value for money out of a new phone.

    • Thanks mate. Any idea where to get this $200 discount code?

You need an older phone that doesn’t support 4G VoLTE function once 3G is phased out in September 2024 (for Optus network umbrella).

Amaysim is giving out the $200 discount code for people to purchase a new device that supports 4G/VoLTE and/or 5G. You can purchase iPhone or Android & Samsung Galaxy mobiles.

  • why do you call it a “camera phone”. isn’t it just a phone??

or are you talking about something different. like some kind of phone accessory that plugs into your camera?
