tbh I was never a fan of Yeezy designs (except the 700 which I thought was ok), and now there's absolutely no way I'd want to be associated with ye in any capacity

Yeezys came out in 2013, 10 years of constantly selling out was decent run. Kanye ruined the brand himself with his dumb racist conspiracy theory outbursts and in general the whole sneaker undustry is down. Good for sneaker collectors who no longer have to pay reseller prices.

Adidas supposedly had $2b in existing stock, I imagine this is it going on sale.
Not sure if I’d call it an overreaction. It was probably less about Ye’s comments and instead not wanting to remind people that Adi Dassler was a member of the Nazi party.
@freefall101: I assume you had to be member if you wanted to rise in that country at that time. Has he personally ever done bad stuff? I'm also more concerned about what companies do NOW such as nestle being evil.
@DrScavenger: Oh definitely, he even did some good stuff, like tip off to a local mayor (who was half Jewish) that the Gestapo were coming to get him. Adidas definitely isn't like IBM (or even Volkswagen, who really partnered with the Nazi's). Or even Puma (started by Adi's brother, who was exonerated but was once arrested by the allies as a suspected SS member).
But if you go read the Adidas webpage on their history there is a distinct gap in there between 1929 and 1949. Being known as the brand every kid in the Nazi youth wanted to wear isn't exactly a strong selling point. Personally I think it's the right move by Adidas, sure Ye made them a tonne of money but most of their money still comes from being a sports brand. No point risking that to defend a dude who's been slowly losing his mind the past few years.
I mean they basically still are selling out, have you looked on the website? out of the popular ones - 700/350s there's only oddball sizes available. The rest were a bit weird and controversial, later design releases are not nearly as popular as the originals.

Just to let you know the sale is in since last week with a restock, only small sizes available and maybe 3 or 4 pair with 8us or bigger. Seems this was last restock programmed and maybe a small one in September and that's it.

To the people leaving critical comments in this deal, these are hypebeast shoes and come with the price tag to match so they definitely aren't for everyone. Having said that, anyone who owns a pair can vouch for the comfort and half price is a genuine deal. Would have liked a first pair to add to my rotation, but unfortunately, it looks like most sizes are sold out. Those clay v2s piqued my interest but that plastic-looking upper is not it 🤔

Agree. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I own and been lucky to have been able to get a few pairs over the years at retail.
I hope adidas brings the 350 out without the yeezy name that we can buy cheaply cause they are so goddamn comfy.

Ended up pulling the trigger on the brown/yellow 380s, thanks to your comment! The colourway is a bit funky, but at a bargain price of 136.80, I think it'll grow on me lol.
