  • Wish they would accept PS4 games. Plenty that are still worth more than $10.

    • They still accept ps4 games for trade in credit though right?

      • Yea but I mean for the deal itself

Just to reiterate every other EB Games "2 Eligible Games" post when the inevitable question pops up, the current guide for what constitutes as an eligible game is any game (XBSX, PS5 or Switch) that EB is selling pre-owned for roughly $28~$34. (This may or may not have increased with inflation.)

YMMV, but have a scan of your games being sold pre-owned on their site for an idea of what you might be able to trade-in.

Most $28 games don’t qualify, unless they are very rare or EB don’t carry too much stock of it, but pretty much anything $34 or above qualifies.

And yes, they’re killing it with the trade in deals

For reference, these are the selected games from a previous trade in deal:

      • This list is pretty outdated unfortunately.

        • Its only from January this year, so not bad for a guide

So is this is just a physical re-release of the pixel remaster collection or what?

    • Yes

    • The game that was reselling for $1k yes

      • It was $2k before this dropped

      • Just did a quick eBay search. Highest I can find for sold listing is AU$179 for the regular version.

    • Its the physical AUS version.

The asia version has been out since last year via Play Asia which i prefer as it doesnt have the stupid PG rating logo covering the front artwork.

  • When do we trade in? Oni when the pre order is here?

    • From now

    • You can order online and then trade-in in store whenever, as long as it's before the promo ends.

    God bless playasia.com

Now there's a blast from the past.

  • Does it come with a disc or just a code for PS4?

    • It doesn't say anywhere that is a code. I assume it is the disc.

  • anyone know what eb's policy is on how much they ream you for trading switch games without a case?

Anyone got the current trade list?

    • They discount $2 bucks if the game has no case.

      • Depends on the trade in value. The more expensive the game the more they take it. Have seen $1-3 before.

I will most likely get both the ps4 and switch version :D to be honest u are better off selling your games on ebay than trading in eb games tends to screw u on price

    • +1

Not really. Cheapest copy found for this game is $114. You sre giving two games and getting $75 credit. Very unlikely to not say impossible you get that much for 2 games second hand, unless you are trading a game that came out recently.

      • Depends on the games u are trading every game has a different value on the games market some games will fetch 2 times or 3 times the price depending on rareness

        • Just being smart and swap games that isn't worth much or are hard to sell. Don't swap a copy of Stellar Blade + Final Fantasy for example

  • I thought they would never release a physical copy for the ps4, tempted to pre-order

Anyone with a good tip on what pre owned games to buy elsewhere at the cheap to maximise on this offer?

  • +2

Bought The Walking Dead Destinies and Avatar: The Last Airbender: Quest For Balance from JB for $20 (2 for $30 deal + $10 Perks coupon) and traded them in.

Altogether $59 for the game, pretty good deal.

    • Legend! Great deal

  • it's technically a deal, but is it really a deal?

    • No. Better paying the older price.

  • For the switch version, are all the games physically on the disk, or do you have to download them?

  • This is not expired is it? OP must have accidentally set expiry date as 15/08 instead of 15/10.

    • Fixed it

  • If you trade 2 games do you still get the tradein value and pay $39 for the game? Or is it no different if I sell them games worth $20 or $50 each?

    • +1

For your first question: you give them 2 eligible games and $39 to get this game. You don’t get anymore trade credit on top of that.

I don’t understand your second question.
