Hi there, looking for a multifunction A3/A4 home office printer/scanner/copier.
HP seem to have a good one but I hear their ink eco system is a killer?
Any tips on models people recommend?

What are you doing step Brother
How often will you actually need to print and scan A3?
lets say 2/3 times a week?
That's pretty often. Otherwise I would think about getting a large photo printer to print rare A3 documents, but if you'll be doing it a lot you want won't to mess with expensive photo ink just to print colour charts from Word documents.
Friend recently asked me the same question, after a little research, ended up recommending the Brother MFC-J6540DW for light use, or the MFC-J6955DW for heavy use.
Thank you, I was looking at the BRMFCJ6740 because of its dual document trays. one for a3 one for a4 which would make my life easier
The J6955 has this feature too I believe with 2 seperate paper trays.
However you can also achieve the same with the cheaper J6540 by putting A3 into the main paper tray and A4 into the top document feeder tray. I think it only holds 20 or 50 pages in the feeder tray so not quite as convenient but still works and means you don’t always have to be manually switching between a4 and a3
Perfect, I think im going with the J6740 as officeworks doesnt have any stock of the 6540 at the moment
Oh … Brother.
