INCREDIBLE Value Under $30! 🔥 Soundcore A20i True Wireless Earbuds Review

I've had two Anker Soundcore earphones before and the sound for cost is very good, my only gripe is long-term durability, which is barely a year before issues, but that could be from personal usage. At less than A$30, these are much better than any rando brand, with a proper decent phone app.

This model appears to produde a little more outside the ear compared to my A40, but while I am sending that one in for warranty, this one at A$30 will do well as a spare.
I can't say how long earbuds are supposed to last for, in my experience I generally get a year out of all regular brands, so this price for quality is a good option.

Lowest price was $22.19.

Use these for my gym workouts as at this price is pretty disposable

No issues so far and do the job

    • If you're running / jumping around, do you notice the left earbud making a clicking noise like something is loose? Have noticed it with my pair when running. Otherwise pretty good earbuds.

These are really great earbuds, I have been using this for some time now, so far, great. But the mic is very decent, and background noise is loud when on call.

    • How do these compare to soundpeats?

      • Sounds ok but not great. They do a good job for something so cheap but i wouldn't class them as audiofile.

  • Anyone compared these to the qcy or other chifis? I feel like it's the to move on from the tozo A1

Great earbuds for the money. I often listen to podcasts when I fall alseep and they are more comfortable than my apple earpods, the touch controls also work nicely.

I have these, use them for gym. Good sound, last a long time.

Just bought these last week for the same price. at $30 they are really nice and have a great app to customize it.

I have a couple of pairs of these and they're excellent for the price, but I still hate that most earbuds have touch "buttons" these days. They're kinda finicky like that.

    • +1

I turn off the touch buttons in the app, I find my phone is as convenient without accidental presses.

      • +1

My problem is more that I fail to tap correctly, rather than false positives. Though the newer models seem to help this as they beep on each tap.

      THIS!

I still prefer my old QCY T2C over all others because they have clicky buttons instead of bloody touch buttons.

I even found a second set on AliExpress and paid way too much for them when my first pair started playing up.

Scarbir has a useful tag: https://www.scarbir.com/tws/tag/Controls%3A+buttons

But the options are getting thin.

about 80%-85% of the way to the more expensive earbuds, but at a fraction of the cost. these are definitely a great value.

Bought this last week. Sounds quality is good. Mic for calls is meh when with background noise. it is “muffled” according to the person in the other line. I thought it’s easy enough to change devices as it’s not multipoint. It’s a bit of a hassle for me so had to return it.

    • My A40 is multipoint, but it was $80, at $30 I am happy to have this as a spare without the functionality.

      • I replaced it with SoundPEATS Mini HS for $55 as it is multipoint and just a bit of extra. Yet to arrive next week for me to test it out. If no good then will try the A40.

      • Is A40 good for calls? My SoundPEATS arrive and not great on noisy environment like streets.

        • They are bad for calls, I often had people ask me to take them off speaker phone.

          • @Jimbuscus: Thanks. I guess I’ll need to look harder for a better one then.

  • I have these. Sound and calls work well and can't complain about that. For me the issue is ergonomics. For my ears they just keep falling out. I've never had a problem with the more classic airpod shape. Yes I've tried the different size ear tips.

Also, aesthetically they look like you have volume control knobs sticking out of your head

Maybe you have small ear canals. These stay in my ears really well.

I bought these back in April at $22.19 as per OP comment on the post.

First wireless buds, compared to my usual micro USB charged hang around your neck style, I also find these fall out very very easily.

Twice I've had them drop out fully and had to go hunting for them on the ground, then clean them up before putting back in my ears.

I've tried all three sizes of the replaceable tips, and none seems to fit into my ears too well.

At $22.19, I was happy to try. I'd be highly disappointed if this happened with more expensive buds.

      • I found them the same. I used them while walking and had them fall out every now and then.
They were good for the price though. Until they went through the wash :/

  • These or P20i for same price?

I find P20i much better for calls

    • I've had the chance to try out both the Anker A20i and P20i, and here's my take on it:

In terms of clarity and soundstage, the A20i seems to excel. It delivers crisp audio with distinct instrument separation, making it great for detailed listening. The soundstage is also reasonably wide, which helps in creating a more immersive experience.

On the other hand, the P20i leans more towards a natural and balanced sound signature. It's not overly bright or bass-heavy, making it a good choice for those who prefer a neutral and flat response. The sound quality is clean and uncolored, which can be great for critical listening.

So, it really depends on your personal preference. If you're all about clarity and a decent soundstage, go for the A20i. If you want a more natural and balanced sound, the P20i is the way to go. Both are solid choices, but it ultimately comes down to the kind of audio experience you're seeking.

    Damn son! Perfect timing

Does anybody else constantly lose a bud? I can never seem to find a case of my umpteen sets of wireless earbuds that has both buds in it. I find the odd one behind the bed, in a jacket pocket etc, but its always the wrong mate to the one in looking for. Hence why i can never justify spending more than $30 on a set…so cheers OP on yet another purchase.

  • Mine just arrived, obviously cheaper in build quality than my $130 ($80 on sale) Soundcore A40's, but the value for the quality is better, these will be a good backup set for the price. Definitely much better than the rando brands at this price point.
