    • Double combo meal is $19.45 in Qld

Try changing stores to a different part of Qld.

( just to see if price changes)

Got another deal in my app for $9.95 hot and crispy double deal (10 pc hot and crispy + 2 regular chips). Did everyone get this one?

    • +4

Good deal but not in my app.

    • My store would be lucky to have 10 hot and crispy. Got all wicked wings last time without notice 😟

    • +1

See now this is a deal, effectively less than a dollar per chunk of actual chicken meat (no bones) and large chips (2 reg is usually 1 large)

Double combo has been on for like the past month or so in SA. Not even that much of a deal (especially compared to when it was like 15 bucks a year or so ago).

Actually nvm all of these aren't even good deals now that I'm looking at it. This is just the "value range" at KFC… Just purchase a company says "oh this is so cheap and goof value" doesn't actually make it cheap or good value. I have an american diner joint in town (hindley street Adelaide) for 12 bucks I get a loaded hotdog and good portion of chips, and even then I would just call that okay/good (PS it's a bigger serving that zinger+chips+drink (and you get free water at Benny's (licenced venue so free water is required by law (or if you're fat a can of coke is like 2.50)))).

For that reason down vote, I am single handedley going to change the way deals are posted to ozbargain, gone will be the days of "deals" but in reality they're just the "special" sticks at woolies where they gone from $9.99 to $9.95.

A bargain is a great deal, something where you are in a worse financial position by not taking the bargain.

A bargain is net income compared to other options I.e. I would be worse off looking around. And if you're hungry for 8 bucks go to woolies or Coles, for 19 bucks grab a HSP/AB.

    Happy to debate

If I'm effectively losing $1/minute after my 30 minute lunch break and I normally have to eat while I'm driving to get back to work in time. No way am I parking and walking into a shop and then potentially waiting for food to cook. Double slider and chips is enough to keep me going, tastes fine and is cheap enough.

By that argument just buy ramen noodles, already cooked stuff at woolies/coles or meal prep at home. Each examples takes between 0-4mins to prepare (maybe extra 5 mins to cool down depending), and if sliders can feed you then the above will too.

Also, you are driving to KFC ie KFC isn't even that close, so why are you going there if you're on a time crunch. If its the closest or only food place then fairo (except that you could meal prep).

Secondly, if you have a mum and pop take out store near your work and you have a somewhat consistent schedule, give them a buzz or walk in, and ask/say "everyday for lunch I'll like xyz, can you prepare it for this time" and "I'll call to confirm that I want xyz for lunch" they'll cook it on your way over, and if you can eat sliders and chips you can eat a burger or hotdog.

Just saying to be a true ozbargainer you gotta take those extra steps, and not succumb to two chicken tenders, 25 chips, some lettuce and bread for 7 dollars, it really is insane what you can do for either a little extra (and you'll have left over for dinner) or with prep

That's a lot of assumptions about my proximity to other things.

          • -2

@Paul2141: So you're saying you don't have a house to pre-prepare food, and are so far away from a shopping centre you don't even have eggs at home?

  • +4

Wow, these are not just shit, but time limited.

Way to go KFC, you stiffed us twice in one to!

  • those first 2 deals have been there forever

  • That 2 burger combo used to be way cheaper

  • +3

    Not a bargain.

Meanwhile, our favourite $7.45 Burger Combo Deluxe is now $11.95.

  • The Wicked Wing Lunch has been there since at least the start of the year. It never left the app. It was always part of the "everyday online deals" section.

  • I got the cheap as chips for 25.95 as this weeks promo ???????? non of these are bargains

  • yeah… not that great.

  • Any way to get this after 4pm?

    • Add to your cart and check out the order.

Then check-in to the store when you want to collect it after 4pm.
