  • Killer price..

I have two of these and they're great.
I'd argue these are better than the next model up (320) which I also have.

You can connect them to an NVR for 24/7 recording too.
Low light quality is great, so much so that I don't need to turn on the ir night vision

    • Why do you consider the c310p2 better than the c320? I am thinking of getting these. Thank you

      • +1

On paper specs the 320 should be better, but after using both, the 320 image quality just isn't quite as good. The colour profile is weird.
Plus the white led on the 320 aren't bright enough for usable light, and too bright to capture faces (over exposure)

    • Which NVR is suitable for this?

      • +2

Any. It uses an onvif stream.

I feed it into some cheap generic Chinese nvr

        • Can you buy 2 of these and connect 4x cameras to the NVR?

  • Even though I’ve got eufy and imou setups covering my place at this price I’m tempted to try out tapo too. Wish it was 12vdc input though so I could add it to my 12v garden lighting circuit (website says it’s 9v)

    • +1

You could in theory run two in series.
These run off as little as 5vdc.

  • Camel x3 says was $89.61.

I did vote positive however. Just a shame if you missed that price ( if it's correct).

    • I reckon that might have been for a single unit. They sell for $99 each elsewhere. Goodguys had them for $75 each when I got them

  • How does this compare to the famous eufyCam 3 (S330) ?

    • Depends if you want 24/7 recording. If not, eufycam would be better. Then again it costs much much more

      • So this is better for 24/7 recording? Do you know if it is PoE or you need to piggy back of existing power supply?

  • Someone in the comments mentions it comes with a UK plug, easy to modify?

    • Just use a plug adaptor

  • Good idea to install this indoor with the camera sitting behind the window?

    • +1

I did try at home. For daytime, yes it's ok. but for night time, it's blurry due to windows reflection

      • if you turn off IR (or nightmode) you may be ok?

  • Trialing TP-Link Tapo at the moment, coming from Wyze, and pretty happy. Bought a C120 for outdoor and C225 for inside. Both bought during the amazon sales a few weeks back. Looks like i'll be gradually turfing all my Wyze cams.

    • I'm in the same position as you. I have 2 gripes with the Tapo eco system, first is the viewing time limit if the camera and viewing devicec (phone or tablet) is not on the same network. It's limited to 5 minutes before you need to click yes on a reminder notification. It's a small detail but one that makes things a little annoying.

Second is I wished the Tapo cameras use usb instead of an adapter brick.

Outside of those two I think the cameras are great for security. Having the option to view multiple cams at once without adding them to a group is cool.

      • OK, how do i do that? :D

  • What's the most basic way to use this? I would like a front door monitoring system and maybe have it connect to a dedicated monitor and check in on the phone if possible. Can hard-wire it but I'm just lazy.

  • How is this compared to the Arlo and is there any cloud storage option ?

  • These are British imports. Do we need to change the plugs?

My only issue if false alert many a times, but mostly they are reliable.

  • Why does it say "ultra high definition" when it is:
    3 MP (2304 × 1296)

  • Is this battery powered or do I need to plug it in to a power source?

    • need to plug in power source and you may need to use adapter as others have stated above.

      • Would you know the power source needs to be wired to reach to the cameras?
Is there a guide on how to do it myself or I have to find a licensed electrician to install the wires for me?
I dont have any power sources/plugs external to my house so I am unsure how to connect them.

        • if you don't have a power outlet nearby then no, you cannot do it yourself. Australian regulations require a licensed electrician install any GPO

  • Damn hard wired kills it for me no power points near where I need to put them
