Clearance Skincare E.g. Salicylic Acid Microfoliant $2 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store/ OnePass/ $65 Order) @ Kmart

210

I went to Kmart today and there’s a heap of cleansers etc discounted. In general I find these to be pretty good.

The Microfoliant seems like an intended dupe of the Dermalogica product, but haven’t tried it yet.

Target also has the same prices for the same products.

    Careful.

Salicylic acid 2% is supposed to be potent, not sure if this is a good product/brand or not with good controls, but this might not be for people with sensitive skin..

    • It's for acne prone skin

yep they can also have sensitive skin. A similar product trashed my youngster pimply skin.

the socials are full of self proclaimed experts ("It works for me").

        • Salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide are what you'll overwhelmingly find experts reccomend to fight against the acne itself. 2% is indeed strong, as strong as the US FDA allows to be marketed for this, but you can always use a small amount and you should patch test before using anything. I personally find better results and less irritaation with wash off salicylic acid masques but these work well too. They won't help with common issues causing childhood acne to appear though, like a poor moisture barrier from using harsh soaps too frequently.

    • Yes, it’s not for everyone, but a good price to test it out with. Some people find it good to clear up blackheads and reduce the appearance of large pores. There’s also some less intense products on sale like the hyaluronic acid cream cleanser.

  • Salicylic acid is primarily effective as a leave on application, not in a mechanical application such as this scrub. I imagine this product would be pretty abrasive and actually irritate your skin more than it does any good.

It’s super fine rice powder as the base. Very similar to the dermalogica product. It’s not very abrasive. I’ve used it once so far so too soon to tell but I fine leave on salicylic acid makes my skin flake.
