PRIMETIME

You spoke, we listened! A deal with something for everyone, including the much requested BYO GPU and a mATX form factor black chassis as the default (plus some of the most requested alternatives like the Fractal North and Corsair 4000D). The all new Asus A21 Prime mATX mid tower is the default selection on this build. Great ventilation, top tier build quality and finish, compact form factor while supporting a 360mm AIO and big fat high end GPUs with ease. It also supports the BTF/Project Zero rear motherboard connectors so we've thrown in the MSI B650M Project Zero as a motherboard upgrade option for those interested.

GPU Options

Option Price after discount code 'PRIMETIME'
BYO GPU * $888 vs PCPP/DIY $1042.54 ~ 15% better
MSI RTX4060 Ventus 2X OC 8G $1299 vs PCPP/DIY $1507.54 ~ 14% better
Asus 7900GRE Dual OC 16G $1699 vs PCPP/DIY $1921.54 ~ 12% better
MSI RTX4070S Ventus 2X 12G + A750BN PSU ^ $1798 vs PCPP/DIY $2021.54 ~ 11% better
Regarding PSU Compatibility ^

A high quality 550w power supply (like ours!) is ample for the RTX4060 / RX7900 GRE GPUs when paired with the rest of the components above. However when pairing a RTX4070 Super or above we strongly recommend a 750w unit. The MSI A750BN delivers up to 450w over the 12vHP connector which is plenty for a 4070 Ti Super and below, but if you're going for a RTX4080 Super you'll need the 750GL Gold or 850GL model that can do up to 600w. Manufacture's recommend power supply listed on their website is overkill to cover their bases when a budget low end power supply is used, or when the GPU is paired with much more power hungry components (eg 14900K that can draw > 400w itself, vs the 7500F that only pulls a fraction of that.

BYO GPU Warning *

When pairing the BYO GPU option with the 7500F, you'll have no graphics output until a GPU is installed and the system will not boot. For QA phase testing purposes we'll utilize a GPU appropriate to the wattage of the power supply chosen to adequately load test it, but remove it again before dispatch. Make sure you select an adequate power supply for what ever GPU you intend to install. 7600X and 7800X3D CPUs come with built in iGPU solutions perfectly adequate for most general non-gaming workloads and the system will be bootable / usable without a dedicated GPU needing to be installed up front.

PLUS series Motherboard # advantages and next-gen Ryzen 9000 CPU support

While the 7500F is still by the far the best value for money entry level AM5 CPU and the 7800X3D is still the king of gaming performance, our choice of high quality motherboards with their top tier VRM solutions are next-gen CPU ready giving you drop-in future upgrade options down the line.

Our default motherboard selection uses a 10+2+2 dual phase VRM should have no problem handling even the highest end next gen CPUs and blows away the competition budget boards used by some system builders (Gigabyte B650M Gaming WiFi, or MSI Gaming non Plus for example) with their comparatively low end 5+2+2 arrangement, single NVMe SSD port (vs 2x), 2 memory slots (vs 4), last-gen WiFi AC 4.2 Bluetooth (vs MU-MIMO AX 6E & BT 5.3), fewer heatsinks and no Type C (vs rear + mid-board).

Questions regarding Windows licenses & installation
- Yes, our licenses are 100% genuine OEM or retail licenses purchased directly from Microsoft authorized distributors. Physical copies of these products are provided with the PC including the license key cards and installation flash drive (for retail licenses) or COA stickers (for OEM licenses). Any system builder that doesn't provide these could be charging you full price for a grey market key of significantly less value and questionable origin. Always demand the physical copies!
- Yes, if you purchase Windows from us we will have it pre-installed, setup, updated and with all the required drivers pre-installed ready to go out of the box.
- No we cannot pre-install Windows for anyone who doesn't purchase a genuine license. We'd love to offer this as a service for those who already have a genuine license but selling a PC pre-loaded with Windows without a license purchase is strictly forbidden by Microsoft.
- Yes, if you have a genuine retail (not OEM or volume) license you can provide to us and that we can validate as genuine, we can activate it for you and provide the PC with Windows pre-installed. Contact us after placing your order with your order number and license details to arrange. OEM or volume keys cannot be accepted as they are non transferable to new systems.

  • Are you able to do the current AMD game bundle promotion with this?

    • Wish we could but its only available from a small number of 'participating' retailers only.

  • +2

    $2k for a 7800X3D+7900GRE is pretty decent.

Personally, I would bump up the PSU a little though.

Also CL38 RAM isn't the greatest. Can get 6000 CL30 2x16 Corsair for around $170 these days.

PS: the GRE uses more power than the 4070s, not sure why it's mentioned the 550w is fine for GRE but not the 4070s, it's kinda the other way around imo.

    • 750w options from +$40 :)

As for the RAM, have to be careful with those low latency kits, stability on AM5 platforms is really hit or miss / luck of the draw. Some of them don't come with EXPO profiles and are really only are designed to work on Intel platforms. Others that do offer EXPO sometimes do so at loser timings than the XMP profile on the same kit, or are still not always stable.

We do have the Lexar kits in the options list for a small upgrade cost that run at CL32. That's about as low as we'd comfortably go on AM5 right now when we try to balance out performance with long term stability and reliability.

We have tried the CL30 kits from Team / Corsair and G.Skill. The measurable in game performance difference is pretty slim to nothing in almost most cases. Differences from the silicon lottery from one CPU to another of the same model can be more. Especially in cases where the bottle-neck the GPU not CPU anyway which is almost all modern games at higher graphics settings / resolutions. When we did try them the failure in QA or RMA post dispatch rate was still only a few % but that was ~ 3x our regular rate and just not worth the negative customer experiences for those effected when you're building and shipping hundreds of units a month :(

      Also re : the 7900GRE / 4070S and PSU.

The 7900GRE uses slightly more power at peak than the 4070 Super, but the 4070 Super has the 12vHPWR connector which comes negatively in the 750W power supply options we list with the need to use an adapter. More importantly though, the RTX40 series, particularity the 4070 and above all have the ability to spike in power draw momentarily (called power excursions) well above their standard steady power draw. This is something the ATX3.0 standard power supplies are designed to handle and another reason why we recommend the 750W units for these cards. The 7900GRE doesn't exhibit the same behavior with power draw spikes to anywhere near the same extent and is very stable on a ATX 2.1 550w PSU.

  • Any all white configurations possible from this set of options? vertical gpu mount? wondering what ppls thoughts are on a new 4060 vs some 2nd hand fb marketplace 6700xt

    • A few white cases RAM & CPU cooler options already exist. RTX4060 Ventus 2x White just added to the options list for you.

As for vertical GPU mounts, the Asus A21 doesn't support them. The Montech SKY TWO models do and we've added the +VGM (Vertical GPU Mount) bundle options in for you.

Unfortunately there's no white motherboard options for this form factor and chipset in stock at the moment but the default selection does come with whiteish light grey accented heatsinks that blend in pretty well.

      • thanks, any chance of a 360mm aio white cooler and additional fans for the montech sky two?

        • We've just added a white 360mm AIO option for you, you might have to refresh the page for it to appear :)

The Sky Two in white already comes with 4 white ARGB fans included as standard. You can select the no additional fan option from the list of fan choices so you don't get stuck with one out of place looking black fan squeezed.

The 360mm AIO will come with 3 fans already so you'll be pretty much filling up every single fan mounting position in the case already.

          • @evatech: any more 4070s white gpus? can i get an option to change the additional fan to white and are there any add ons for white cables

            • @mnckt: We can offer the Gaming X Slim model (added to the options list already)

At checkout there's a notes section just below the payment options. You can leave a note there requesting that the addition black fan be swapped to white and we'll take care of it for you. That being said, aesthetically it might be better to leave it out as it would look different to all the other included white / RGB fans that come with the case and cooler and might stand out a bit.

  • thank you for another great deal from evangelion tech

will i finally pull the trigger and get a gaming PC? i am so close to but unfortunately my tax came back as a bill instead of a refund.

upvoted because i think these guys do a good deals

Really appreciate your upvotes and comments to let us know what you think each time - it helps to make up for the many who order the deals without upvoting.
Hopefully you'll be able to place an order soon! :D

  • So does this PC not have any front fans in the default configuration? Or would the AIO be mounted on the front?

    • +1

If you prefer front mounted AIO you can request it but by default it would be top mounted so the hot air from the radiator is exhausted out of the chassis instead of blown inward over the components.

The two fans on the chassis plus rear exhaust are plenty to create a negative pressure setup that will draw air through the ventilated front panel mesh without the need for additional fans. Of course if you select additional fans options you'll get much more airflow.

The Ryzen 7000 series, particularly the 7500F are extremely heat and power efficient. If you go with a high end GPU and the 7800X3D however, the 4x additional fan kits will help keep everything cool on warmer days.

  • rookie question, since there are 4 memory slots, is it possible go with a 4 x 16gb config?

    • On these first gen DDR5 platforms, particularly the AMD platform, 2x32 will be more stable at higher frequencies. 4x16 works but you might have to losen the timings and lower frequency to get it stable.

  • Hi I was wondering if it’s possible instead of a second SSD option could you add a hardrive option?

    • Shoot us message via the contact form on our website and let us know what size drive you had in mind. Our sales team will get back to you first thing tomorrow!

  • My 6 year old Dell desktop just died today. Can I take the 1060 GPU out of it and install it in this? Will it be compatible?

    • +1

Sometimes the likes of Dell have proprietary hardware/connectors that don't play well with the normal off-the-shelf components regular stores/people use to build PCs, so if you want to shoot us an email ( sales[at]evatech.com.au ) with the Dell system details and some photos, we'll see what we can make out and advise accordingly!
