    I prefer paying for more cocoa. Though, I don't think the price increase is proportional. $2 for 35 grams of Cadbury's chocolate is insane.

    IIRC, other products are, or have been getting reduced cocoa and more sugar.

      This is the problem. The quality of food is going downhill so they can keep prices the same, or still increase them.

            @eek: You said about most supermarket chocolate too. If you want less sweet, try dark chocolate then. Lindt dark chocolate is good in my opinion.

    Who in their right mind would pay $2 for a Freddo or a Caramello Koala?
    When at full price it's only $6 for fun size bag of them (or $2.50-$3.00 when on sale)

    Have you seen the size they've already reduced Cherry Ripes to? That's the alternatives. Double the price of the existing product, or halve the size of the product.

      Those "full size" Cherry Ripes are now laughably small. They'll be like the funsize bag ones in a few years time.

    Wanna eat and get the Cadbury Freddo for free? Donate your blood plasma once a week (Australian Red Cross). After that you can eat there. Many food/beverage options in Town Hall branch in Sydney City for example. I don't know about other branches.

    I had the Cadbury Freddo along with other food (pie, chips, etc.) and beverages (juice, kombucha, coffee etc.) there previously. I think no rule forbid you to grab some Freddo for takeaway after donating your blood plasma ;-)

    You can book online like around 10.30 am for example, finish donating blood plasma before 12 noon. It's good to donate blood plasma for people in need. Normal blood donation is every 3 months, but blood plasma donation can be once a week.

    Let's just rewrite this a little

    Our Freddo Frogs and Caramello Koalas have been shrinking over the years—yeah, we know you noticed. But hey, at least we kept the price the same.

    Now, with cocoa prices sky-high and everything else getting pricier, we’re finally cranking up the RRP from $1 to $2. And spoiler alert: even if the costs drop, the price tag isn’t going anywhere.

    But don't worry, those sharebags are still out there if you’re into pretending it’s a bargain. So, cheers to you for sticking with us while we keep making the chocolate you love—just a bit smaller and now a lot more expensive.

        What's the bet the prices stay high regardless when production increases.
