Harvest Buffet Star City - Tier Points + Parking + NRMA Entertainment Book Discount

Hi all,

Just checking if anyone knows the answer from previous experience.

Going to Harvest buffet and spending way too much for 2 adults and 2 kids for Sunday lunch which wil be circa $254.76.

I've got NRMA entertainment voucher so that will take $40 off.

Question.

  1. I assume the Star Bronze discount I have of 10% won't apply.
  2. Does anyone know whether spending $214.76 would be enough to earn the 5 tier points required to pay for parking? I assume it won't be, but wanted to check before I park elsewhere.

Cheers.

Thanks for the tip re: NRMA, will definately utilise that one. Not sure about stacking sorry, but I doubt it.

Not sure about stacking, although I think it may apply. I would present the bronze membership card first, and then NRMA voucher after.

With regards to parking, yes spending above $200 would qualify for free parking. Please ensure you insert your Star membership card upon entry to the parking lot. From memory, roughly $20 on F&B equals 1 point.

    • thanks…

I'm just preparing for the worst!

Assuming you can't stack both discounts (even if I present my Star card first), I'm just wondering if that if I present my NRMA discount, whether they will basically remove my Star card from the swipe because of that discount…resulting in no points…

And then if that happens, then I'll need to pay $30 for parking!

Discounts at Star stack with your membership level so the 10% will be applied first and then discounts after as the actual cost of the item is whatever the price is - membership discount. That should be enough to get your tier points for parking.

I think stacking will be hard but Bitesized's suggestion would be the right order if you were to explore it.

My only other suggestion is if you can split bills - your wife can use her coupon for her and one kid and you with your other kid? technically you would save another ~$20?

You would have to book separately I suspect and I dont know how that impacts parking calculation (may end up giving it all back). Just a thought

If you use the same rewards card for both transactions that should get you enough points for parking.

  • Thanks all.

If feels like heading to Harvest Buffet and getting all of my discounts + free parking is as much as a gamble as going to Star Casino and betting on the pokies!

  • I can reconfirm that they applied the 10% discount and the Nrma benefit.

2 adults and 2 kids on Sunday was $186.83 including credit card surcharge. I accrued 9 tier points ehich was enough to covet the 5 points required for parking.

    thanks all.

  • I tried doing the same. Harvest wouldn't do both discounts. Only 1. I did the 10% star membership discount (and free parking). Parking was clumsy though. I had to buzz at machine, and they said just drive to the gate and use the member card to open… didn't work. Buzzed at the gate, and they opened it remotely.

    • Sorry to hear. I went in for Sunday lunch, and had an older Asian man who took my Star card and applied the 10% discount. Then applied the 25% discount when I showed him the NRMA app.

My parking was also fine. Used my Star card at the entrance gate instead of taking a ticket. Then used the Star card at the exit gate.
