  From my understanding, the 3000 and the 2500 are almost identical. I bought the 2500 (black) on sale at chemist warehouse for $75 in June and then the airline lost my bag while overseas and I bought a 3000 (black) off Amazon in the UK. They come with the same case, same colour unit, same amount of brush heads. Airline then found my bag and now i have two seemingly identical toothbrushes. The 2500 is still at chemist warehouse for $75
