Darn seems no stock brisbane (underwood, Browns plains, etc)

    • Been at least 2 months since I got them so. Was a bit surprised there was an extra charge for the lib but I took them anyway.

      • Edit: I mean the bunning one and still plenty of stock. My bad.

Only Nambour in QLD according to https://bigw.youinstock.com.au/search/80142/qld

I guess I'll see all the Queenslanders at Nambour so we can fight for this rubbish bin

Prefer the mini wheelie bins because they have wheels and a hinged lid. You can get them for ~$20 from dollar shops.

    • How many litres?

      • +1

Same size, 60L. Here's one listed on cheap as chips for $24 but you can usually find them for less at your local asian gift shop https://www.cheapaschips.com.au/products/kb032?srsltid=AfmBO…

        • Which one is lighter? I usually carry my entire bin to the kerbside bin and empty it straight into the kerbside bin.

Using a bunnings 60L one now and it's great because it feels quite light.

I would imagine the wheelie bin might be a bit heavier to carry.

          • @AlienC: Very light, also… wheels. 4 wheels so you can push it like a spinner case.

What plastic is it made from? (suitable for kratky hydroponics reservoir?)

    • +1

It is made from polypropylene. Don't know if it is suitable for kratky hydroponics reservoir

I use these to store my charcoal for my kamado. They work well for that purpose

How often do you guys empty your bins?

    • +1

Some weeks twice a week very rarely three times a week.

Lately once a week just on bin night/day.

My recycle bin though has been filling up faster than my general rubbish bin.

So much package waste and cardboard boxes waste.

      • I used to do it once a week, but found out that the cockroaches were treating the bin as their home.

        • I am pretty lucky the only thing I see in the house is spiders.
Not a single cockroach in the past few years I have been here.

Bin stinks though not sure how to easily clean it I just poured some vinegar in the bottom before I put a bin liner in it yesterday and will see if it helps with the germs and odour.

    • Every night? Can't stand the thought of rubbish and food waste hanging around inside.

i just had hard rubbish. wastage guilt..more environment.
    realised much didn't need..just clutter.
they seemed 'nice' to ozbargaain then
    Irony this would've been one… a bin.

  • Got these to store hay for my pet rabbit, now to pickup half a bale!

    Rubbish deal 👍

  • thanks bought one and got also 2000 bonus points

  • Been using the bunnings willow ones with lids for awhile now but the lid on this one looks better easier to pick up.

If same quality they are pretty good standard rubbish bins but wouldn't use them for anything too heavy duty like construction waste.

Having said that I did fill one up with jars of liquid and very expired full soft drink bottles and it didn't break so they are pretty sturdy can be used for some sports equipment etc.

  • Just do not put it too close to fireplace if store firewood, it can melt like snowman. If it same as the Bunnings' one

  • Does it come with a chicken 🕊

  • These are great for putting a coil of copper in then filling with ice water to condensate something hehehe

    Safe to pour acid ?

    • I use Bunnings one to clean pool filter in acid

  • Looks good for a resin printing workspace

  • Drilling a few holes in one of these seems to get you a compost bin for a fraction of the price.

  • Can this replace Green bin to save on council rates?

  • Good price, yes, but can someone tell me why they make outdoor bin lids in a shape that collects rain water?
