Warhammer 40k World Eaters Combat Patrol.

An ok starter set if you're interested in getting into the hobby. I personally like world eaters but they haven't received the love that other factions have in regards to model choices. Older models but still nice and personally i'm considering buying a box for that price.

Trying to encourage more warhammer deals!

There is also the Games Workshop - Warhammer - Age of Sigmar - Spearhead: Flesh-Eater Courts on sale for @155.16 (33% off). Not a fan of sigmar models personally but maybe its up someone's alley.

  • and here I am waiting for resin printer deals

      • yeah, I'm waiting for a 17/20% off code, but possibly also waiting for Black Friday.

Would you go for the Saturn 4U or stick with the Mars since you're just doing minis

        • Main difference is size from my knowledge. Id personally go with the Saturn as i like the flexibility of printing larger models and waiting less for prints but if you don't have the space/money the mars is a legit entry-level printer. It would do everything the saturn does. If you're worried about difference in detail, don't. Most of that comes from the actual planning/slicing/supports etc imo with this level of LCD resolution printing. However with that all said i'm no real expert.

          • @Digiiz: Yeah, been watching all of the videos, I know the printer is only a part of the cost with resin printing so just going to wait and see what deals come up.

Elegoo haven't put the S4U on ebay yet either.

This is pretty standard price for Amazon across the combat patrols. When its cheaper its around $150

    • I don't watch warhammer much on Amazon so when i stumbled upon it while looking for some paints i thought it was alright. Got any suggestions for tracking warhammer deals at all? like a camel website just for such.

      • I found camel really inconsistent. Like during Prime Day lots of drops on overseas toys didn't register as on sale. When I have manually checked and seen a drop in price its pretty random outside of Prime Day. Sometimes the cheaper price is only visible when you click other sellers and find Amazon UK, US, Germany. But overall you're still better buying it from Amazon than any local hobby store, let alone the official stores.

        • Cheers for your thoughts. I've had the same issue with camel in other areas so it doesn't surprise me it applies to this aswell. I've personally found better deals watching certain clearance sections on a few major aussie game websites but amazon has thrown a good deal or two out there aswell.

  • been out of the warhammer game for years… how does it hold its value? I thought people would just be printing thier own figures now?

    • +1

Printing figures these days is becoming alot…. easier then say even 3 years ago. The machines have really advanced. With that said some of the detail is just better in the more expensive figures GW and other companies offer still unless you invest heavily in a good printer and get some experience under your belt. In regards to holding value…. yeah nar. I'm not into the secondhand market that much but its atleast a 30/40% drop min.

Their prices increase faster than inflation. There are hardcore loyal fans who still don't 3D print and some models just can't be 3D printed nicely anyway.

  • What rev are they up to now?
