  I used to not mind these, but I find these days the plastic degrades after like 2-3 uses - gets that white powdery 'baked on cheese' look. I never put them in the microwave and some haven't even seen the dishwasher so you can't blame either of those things.

    Number of things that can be causing this:
    - Acidic foods (such as tomato bases)
    - Hot/boiling water (calcium build-up or plastic blistering)
    - Foods high in fat or oil being hot when transferred to container

    And then the regular suspects like microwave and dishwasher.

      Tbh, I find the same.

      Lids used to last forever and seal well.

      Now the newer ones I bought don't
