Does it not use Ubisoft Connect if you buy it through Steam?
It definitely would. Every Ubisoft game I have on Steam launches Connect.

Great game
Found the first game more engaging imo, but enjoyed this one as well. Driving mechanics are a bit so/so but overall a good game

yes, don't really need to have played the first one. Not a continuation from the first game (different protagonist)

No, not really 😅 The game isn't trying to teach you cybersec stuff
This is probably one of the last of the great video games. Not only of the Watch Dogs series but ever. Don't listen to all the whiners about launchers etc, I never understood any of that anyway. Stealing the Cyberdriver car remains one of the greatest (and most frustrating) levels ever in a game - the dialogue, Duran Duran, immediate 5 star wanted level chefs kiss
was $8.99 regular, $10.99 Gold on steam within past month
how is pc performance? absolutely amazing game but surprised steam has very positive recent reviews, already owned pc but had to play xbox backcompat 60fps version because of visual glitches on 30/40 series NVIDIA which mostly resolved with Nvidia Profile Inspector Tweak and/or DXVK DLL workaround, but the stuttering was unbearable
same with Watch Dogs 1, the visual upgrade mods put it on par with new release games but couldn't play, DXVK resolved while making more issues and only so much xbox backcompat can do with xbox 360 release
might hold off until better work arounds Watch Dogs, Watch Dogs 2
Watch Dogs Legion performed very well for me without tweaks as long as raytracing disabled as freeze randomly when as drone attacked by other drones, looks like High Medium Raytracing might've been okay
really wished ubisoft would support their pc releases better
was $7.40 direct from ubisoft a few weeks ago, but i can understand why one would pay a few bucks more to enjoy not having to use their rubbish
