Protocol three: I will NOT lose another pilot.

How is MP nowadays? I've heard so many good things about this game, but everytime I join I can never find a lobby

Great single player campaign, well worth skipping a coffee

    • +11

Half a coffee these days! sigh

  • +1

Anyone tried this on steam deck?

    • +3

Runs perfect on SD even though it’s not verified

    • +5

Runs the game fine on high setting, beat it yesterday. Feel bad for deleting it because I want to replay it.

  • +4

The Ultimate edition doesn't include the DLCs… So it's actually just the "digital deluxe" pre-order edition.

And for an 8-year old game, how are the DLCs still $35 each ($17.50 on sale)? They're as expensive as the base game!

    • They are paid cosmetics too.

    • Yeah, it's rather annoying they call it that but after checking it's just cosmetics, would be far worse if they weren't.

  • Do the DLCs give you any extra single player campaigns?

    • +6

I checked, all cosmetics. I assume for multiplayer variety.

For the five people out there who still haven't bought this game in one of its thousand sales: please do so. It's the best $3.99 you'll ever spend.
Great campaign, great multiplayer (if it's populated).

    • Agree, it's like L4D2 worth every penny

  • +2

I haven’t played any PC games for the last 3 years or so, but of course still have to buy this one, like any true OzBargainer would do I imagine.

  • +2

The best single player campaign of all time, even if it is too short. Worth a play through even if you never touch MP.

    • +4

yeah agreed the campaign is a blast to play through, like an extended action movie. The set pieces and gunplay make it an enjoyable rush and ride.

      • +2

Apparently they made it by creating heaps of fun little experiences and piecing what worked together into the campaign levels.

  • +1

    1) isnt this a dead game?
    2) does it require EA launcher to co-launch from steam ?

    • +3

It's worth it just for the single player. Probably one of the best single player levels I've seen in a game, but they're all innovative.

  • Runs well even on an old i7-2600k with rx580 and still looks decent today https://youtu.be/jCwPhrKUcAk?feature=shared

    • yeah it was running fine on my old pc with i5-2500k + RX 290

might jump on for a bit later today :)

  • +1

I still have the SRS Vanguard wearable helmet.

    • +1

I think I got mine from one of the EB Games sale for like $100 :)

      • Do you still wear it while you play?

  • So this is available for the same price on Steam, Epic Games, and EA Games. Given that this is an EA Game, is it best to get it there, or does it not really matter?

    • Given the option I would always get it on Steam.

      • Looks like it still installs Origin launcher and requires you to register EA account.

  • Might finally get this… I see it on sale every time it drops to $3.99, and then forget about buying till the sale ends.

  • The graphics are amazing for a 2016 game!

  • Great game which I finished a couple of weeks ago. Surprisingly good campaign. Apart from that one gauntlet achievement lol.

  • Got it. Thanks OP

  • How many times has this dropped to $3.99. At this point they should just make it free.

  • Such an amazing game. Single player is beautiful. I love the multiplayer on Xbox. I just wish more people were playing it.
