- Great camera
- Good battery life
- Not TOO fragile
- Face unlock
- Google apps (so no Huawei)
- Dual 5g with at least one esim

Would you consider Samsung's A series?
Brand new A55 comes to under $700 retail. Telstra seems to have a sale for less than 500 if you bundle with their services.You can buy the phone outright for $499 unlocked. I just bought it.
how about buy those Global ROM version of realme/OnePlus/Oppo etc from AliExpress? Those are brand new with limited warranty (AliExpress… you know), which is still better than no warranty on second hand.
I understand that those doesn't do e-sim, but if that's something you really wanted, 5ber is there for you..
If you choose carefully enough, you probably would get a 8s Gen 3 top of the range spec phone with your budget.
only thing is to watch what band they support.

You can get a brand new flagship Pixel 8 for $778 from Mobileciti using MCAUG5. If you want even cheaper, the brand new Pixel 8a is only $649 from amaysim, with the same processer as the 8 and a good camera. Both are 5G with eSIM.
If you hold 3G mobile and Amaysim, you can contact Amaysim and try to get $200 code.
Why not just get a new pixel?
