It's a good price but I would argue that Tiger isn't a premium beer.

Why would you buy it in Thailand?

          • +1

@G-rig: I quit drinking over a decade ago but when in Thailand before that, my beer of choice was that Philippines beer San Mig Lite. Singha and Leo undrinkable in my opinion. Chang was at least drinkable but still terrible. Beer Laos also good.

@Bruceflix: Good on you, I should have quit too haha.

Agree on beer Laos being the nicest.
Yeah SML is a good balance of everything, not too heavy tasting not too watery, was having that in the PH đź‘Ť.

I don't argue about religion, politics & beer.

    • “Premium lager” doesn’t refer to quality. It refers to alcohol volume, which is what is taxed, this makes it more expensive to sell with a higher alcohol volume.
      “Session lager” is under 4.5%
The tax on this carton would be around $30 including GST

  • 6 pack for $10 not bad either

thats a bargain also. if i didnt have a toothache id go grab a carton or twos worth.

Shows all locations out of stock for me when trying to complete the purchase

    • Ashburton and Ringwood (VIC) have stock of the 6 packs.

I did a price beat from Dan's as they had stock much closer than First Choice and it took it down to $39. The carton I got is Singapore brewed.

    Tiger tastes awful

  • no stock in NSW, so unable to price match at Dan's.

    • +1

Tried to price match Dan's for something else and they said "we don't price match clearance". Didn't have anything to suggest it was clearance just "at that price it would be". YMMV but cbf to fight tooth and nail

Anyone know where you can get Tiger Crystal in Australia? Tried it at the Tiger brewery and it was amazing but it could have just been the humidity.

just got back from SIN not long ago too.. beer always tastes better when on holiday!

  • How does it compare to Leo beer (at Aldi, iirc 12 bottle box for $20)

  • +1

At least it's an actual IMPORTED INTERNATIONAL beer, unlike all the other "International" beer that's brewed locally. Just look at where Corona is brewed next time your'e in Dan's. Hint, it's not Mexico.

  • Anyone know where to get Huda, went to VN and HUDA is GODLIKE

  • First time I've actually acted on a bargain! Thanks OP for the post. Dan Murphy at Noarlunga, beat it for a pick-up price of $39/ctn! RD :-)

  • Had half a box of these left in my fridge for six months and nobody would touch them. Tread carefully! But if you're into it this is a great price.
