Arnott's BBQ Shapes 145g (Xbox Limited Edition) $1 @ Coles

360

Was on Coles Eastgardens (NSW). Confirmed to be same price at other states, including WA

Taste like normal ones, but better ‘shape’!

These are also smaller than normal Shape boxes.

Smaller packet by 30g, quicker to get to the seasoning at the bottom

Got them last week in Vic for $1 @ coles. 100s of them in store.

  • Chicken in a biscuit PS4 is much tastier.

Was expecting these to be mountain dew flavor

    • I only just forgot about Mountain Dew Doritos, so thanks for that.

Taste like normal ones, but better ‘shape’!

Actually no, they don't hold the flavour as well and it ends up all at the bottom of the box so it's a bit weaker in taste but it's BBQ so it's still great.
I bought a couple quickly on the way out of the store in Gosnells (WA) and there were quite a few left. I assumed they'd be close to code so only got 2 but they had until Dec, wish I got more…

    • So you recommend the normal BBQ? Other than the price…

      • +1

Yeah, but at $1 it's a steal so the comparison is pretty moot. There's also the fact that the packet is 30g lighter and it's not really feasable to fit the biscuit entirely in your mouth without biting it first (since they are so large).

  • Coles $1 BBQ Shapes Xbox 360 Controller

Are you sure this is Xbox controller.

  • +1

They seem to be $1 everywhere. My missus liked them and they were not close to expiry (although she still said they tasted funny but ate them all)

    Xbox 360 lol

    • HODL for Xbox One version.

Doesn't taste the same as BBQ at all. It's tastes like putting unflavored biscuit in your mouth

Upvoting solely bc we're two gens away from 360 and it's still their public peak.

    • +1

IMO 360 was the peak of console gaming and everything since feels a bit stagnant.

  • +1

YMMV but think actually better than current BBQ shape recipe - more seasoning (ie salt and paprika) and biscuit is crisper. Good bargain if you can find them in store at great price.

These are on clearance across all stores I believe. Mt Druitt was also $1

  • Picked up 10 boxes in Thomastown, Melbourne. Agree, they taste better than the normal shapes. The xbox design is thinner and crumbles easier in the mouth.

  • I think I liked the OG ones more, these were more like crackers (like more thin and crispy). You can't go wrong with $1 though.

  • Should still be some in Berowra too :)
