I bought one and it was not at all as they have shown in shark tank, definitely it didn't smelled but that was the only plus point. It wasn't not like hard scrubbers to remove anything from utensils.

Yeah, the issue is that it's hard when cold then soft when hot. I would actually prefer it be soft when cold then hard when hot!

If you can develop something simple like a sponge that can go against thermodynamics, then I'll buy it for sure!

      • Why hasn’t someone made a sex joke about this comment yet

i like the kmart version , its pretty good too

  • I used one of these as part of a costume for a single's social event.

It was quite the success, innuendos were free flowing and the vibes were great.

Now I'm known as "Scrub Daddy" amongst friends.

No idea if they actually clean stuff. 5/5 stars.

    • Did you use it in your pants or somewhere else?

Scrub Daddy Cleaning Sponge 6 Pack $19.99

    Who's your Scrub Daddy?

    • +5

As oppose to normal sponge which are… Also the same but doesn't last as long so you're going through them faster?

I would love to know what material your clothes are, do you avoid all blends that contribute to micro plastics every time you wash them? Or do you go 100% cotton that uses 2400 litres of fresh water to grow 1kg? How many pairs of jeans do you have that use upwards of 7000 litres of fresh water to produce a pair? Or do you only wear wool which contributes greatly to habitat destruction of native animals to enable grazing?

I used to buy those standard sponges that would come in a 4 pack and tear themselves apart and would constantly go through them. I bought a scrub daddy over a year ago and still use the same one to this day, just throw it in the dishwasher and it still looks new. I think it's a good trade off to constantly throwing out other cloths and scrubbing pads that don't hold up

      • Cellulose sponges, Coconut fiber scrubbers,
        Bamboo scrubbers, Loofah Sponges…

    • Need these Ecomesh versions in AU

  • I have tried the limited edition grey ones (Woolworths) and a dog-shaped orange one (Amazon) and they are not as good as the original yellow. They grey one disintegrated faster and the orange one seems to absorb an icky grey colour that doesn't rinse out.

    • I've had the same experience with the grey ones. The ones I've bought in the 6 pack have held up well.

fyi… tried it….it's not that great

i got it on amazon a few weeks ago for $2.70 a piece. it's ok, i prefer the non-scratch with blue sponge.

my kids like it, so i will continue to buy it so i don't have to wash dishes, lol.

  • I clean my wok with his hot water - works great. heavy scrubbing or soap will ruin the seasoning

    • clean my wok with his hot water

      Whose hot water?

  • Everytime I saw this sponge tempted to give it a try. But, I wash with warm water in the winter or else it kills my fingers and wash with cold water in summer. Need the hard scourer sponge to wash pots and pans with warm water. I can't see how this sponge is gonna work for me. Or maybe just not for everyone case.

    • +1

Get one to try, pair it with a steel scourer for the heave stuff. They are a great sponge and will wash most dishes just fine.

Tried this recently and I like it better than the scotch-brite we were previously using, eventhough it produces less suds than the latter.

The scrub daddy sponge survived 3 months of abuse daily use before it sort of disintegrated. Bought another as replacement!

  • Hear great reviews, but got one recently & it utterly pales next to a dishwand.
    Mine is now ornamental

  • Is not showing up in this weeks catalogue? Where did you see it on special?

  • +1

Would have been better if it were 3x Mommy 3x Daddy. I like cleaning the sink, bath, basins etc with the daddy but the mommy is far superior when just washing the dishes.

  • Scotch-brite non scratch scrub sponge 21 pack is $15.97 at Costco. That's 76 cents per sponge.

.97 usually indicates clearance items, but they are selling at the price for months now and still have pallets of it.
