Not a bad single malt, currently $77 at Dans.
The Singleton of Dufftown Malt Master Selection is aged in barrels hand-selected by Craig Wilson, Master of Malt, and finished in three distinct barrel types: refill, sherry and bourbon. This whisky is smooth in texture with predominantly sweet notes featuring hints of honey and vanilla coupled with fresh pear on a faint base of wood ash.
Just grabbed 2 from Carnegie in Melbourne.
On sale 24 July 2024 in selected NSW, ACT, VIC and WA stores while stocks last*

  The 12 can be had for not much more and is a better drop.
  Saying that , I wouldn’t say no to a glass of this.

    This isn't Singleton in Australia lol. Which would indeed be a strange spot, especially with Pokolbin so close by.

      I know, it's west of Inverness. There aren't any other distilleries in that direction. There's a handful north of inverness heading up towards orkney, but there aren't any on the west side of Loch Ness. Maybe Nessy eats peat.

      Edit: Scratch that theory, just noticed Great Glen in drumnadrochit.

        Oh all good. I guess a small town in Scotland still makes more sense to me than a small mining town in NSW 20mins from a large brewing and wine growing region.

  I liked both 12 years and the standard. Used to take every special price to buy multi. The 12 years went down to below $50 after cash back.

  Generic honey scotch taste. Not terrible but also not that enjoyable imo. My recommendation around this price will be Naked Malt.
