this is an amazing deal for Solar.
This is overkill for the average runner, but get it if you are serious or want to get serious about running.
Managed to buy this last year using the bupa life rewards ecard (5% disc) and then also cashrewards. Not sure how the cashrewards was processed as i thought it didn't work with ecards but go figure. Awesome watch, very happy with it especially at that price. Yes the oled on the 965 looks awesome, but I'm happy with the mips.
I bought last year as well and have found it to be a great watch for tracking running and fitness. I think the 955 solar on special like this is a sweet spot for price/features in the Garmin range
Agreed, moved from a fitbit charge 5 and it's chalk & cheese for fitness tracking. The only thing i think the fitbit did better was sleep tracking.
Great price tempted to upgrade from 245 music.
Hmm, this or the Forerunner 265. Not an easy choice but I think the 265 may just edge it as an every day watch if you don't go on runs in unfamiliar/woodland areas regularly where maps based navigation may be useful.
I prefer the smaller models and do a bunch of running - but the astronomical price of the 265 range is a big turn off for me.
I wouldn't be able to justify it over this - even with (my opinion) a better form factor

Got one of these when they were this price in November last year. Bloody love it!
Mate ordered one for $560 from Kogan at the start of this week, didn't post as price changed the next day when I went to. They upgraded from a 45 and are loving it so far.
My 935 is still running strong. Do I need upgrade?
