Free Fake Phone Numbers to Use

Hi all, my first post here (please be gentle) and I completed a search on OzBargain to make sure this hasn't been mentioned before. I couldn't find anything.

Anyway, I was looking at this post and I saw a few members talking about having to put fake phone numbers into websites to avoid SPAM calls, follow-up calls, marketing calls etc. I thought I would share the Aus Gov ACMA website which provides a heap of fake phone numbers that can be used to avoid this. The list of available numbers include:

  • Mobile
  • Landlines for each state
  • 1300 / 1800 numbers
  • 1900 (there is just 1 of these)

You'll find them here

I hope it helps you out!

I just wish that Corey would call Shaun back. Gotta be cold outside only wearing grey trackies.

Not the same thing, but if you need an actual real number other than your own for verification codes, etc, you can use this:

Select one of the phone numbers and it'll show you the messages it's received.

I find it better to use your local Real Estate Agents mobile number. They love getting phone calls!

    • This is hilarious.

    • LOL nice!
