      I suspect the packet may have shrunk to 90g recently. Image shows 90g and also 90g at Coles and Woolworths.

      Good point. Regarding this; when a company make a product for close to nothing, I don’t understand why they would make the portion 10% smaller and risk getting customers off side with the whole shrinkflation chatter.

      • You only know how much the kernels are worth at a retail price level. Nothing more than that. You're probably right the raw ingredients cost them next to nothing per pack. However, the manufacturing costs, labour and more importantly the supply chain costs are generally the most expensive parts of any consumable product.

        Not saying I know what's what in the snack food industry, but companies don't risk alienating people unless they think they have to. That being said, shrinking is more palatable to the general public than price increases. Lots won't notice 10g missing, but most will notice an increase in cost.
