OMG caitsith01 - sorry we were late :) and thanks so much for your order!!

      Cheers
      Dan

      • The problem with your beans is that they make alternatives unacceptably poor by comparison. Order placed!

        • +1

We are very grateful for that problem :) - thanks again.

  • +3

i wonder if all the upvoters of a certain other deal will come to this post and be at least equally impressed at the even better value of 1kg coffee beans delivered for $33 instead of $35

    • Not had Airjo, as good as LB?

      • -1

        Better

  • Have been holding out for this, cheers! :)

Awesome flirtingwithwidows - glad to hear the timing was still good for you! - Cheers Dan

  • I really enjoyed the Enterprise blend for espresso last time I ordered here!

    • Hey evanjd - thaks so much for sharing - great to hear you enjoyed it.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Have been holding out for this!

    • Thanks so much phyatm!! - glad the timing still worked for you.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Any bean recommendations for an AeroPress? I drink my coffee white with 1/4 sugar so ideally something caramel/nutty/biscuity

    • +1

Hey there jsediv - I recommend either the Enterprise or Sumatra for you. Super keen to hear ypuir feedback on whatever you run with.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Cheers Dan. Enterprise sounds good!

How does the pre-ground coffee go compared to the whole beans? Just store in an airtight container?

        • +1

Hey jsediv - whole beans and grind as you need it is always a winner compared to pre-ground. If you have the opportunity to grind them yourself or invest in a grinder it's best.

          I hope that helps.
          Cheers
          Dan

        • +2

If you're even mildly serious about coffee I would invest first and foremost in a quality grinder. I've been using an Aeropress waiting for my coffee machine to arrive from backorder and going from pre-ground to a DF64 gen 2 has made a world of difference even in an Aeropress

  • Is the SUMATRA blend the most popular?

    • Yes it is phyatm. Enterprise a close second and the new Centaur is screaming up the charts….

  • +2

Is ENTERPRISE still the pick for milk-based coffees?

    • Hey rickb - still the one I recommend if you haven't tried it. Other here could also chip in their thoughts on what's good for them.

      Cheers
      Dan

    • Interested in others thoughts on this too. Might try something new from my usual aldi medium dark

    • aeropress milk-based no-sugar coffee drinker - Stargazer's the bomb (I don't generally like blends that say "fruity" or "floral" or "light", for reference)

  • -5

    Do you sell Trump Covfefe?

  • I normally get the Sumatra. Going to try this new Centaur blend

    • Hey there emblurr - thanks so much for giving the new one a go - super keen to hear your feedback.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Thanks Dan, perfect timing! I got the Sumatra last time but found it a bit weak for milk based coffee, I’ll give Enterprise a shot (no pun intended) this time.

By "expires Sunday," does that mean orders have to be placed on Saturday or can they be placed on Sunday too?

    • Hey danct9a - thanks so much for the feedback - super keen to hear how the Enterprise compares for you.
The sale ends midnight Sunday so you can get the deal all the way up to that point sunday night.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks Dan! It’s still been a great cup but hoping Enterprise is better paired with the milk. Cheers!

  • How long does the coffee last in the 1kg bag before going stale?

    • Hey Skramit - We alway recommend keeping the bag sealed and stored in a relatively cool, dark and dry space. Whole beans will last longer than pre-ground. The quality should then be great for the first week or 2 and then slowly deteriorate thereafter like any food product.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • What's your thoughts on keeping the bag in the freezer?

        • +4

Hey Bugs - We always recommend small batches regularly to maximise your enjoyment of fresh beans. Freezing will certainly slow down the degradation process whilst frozen. However, the thawing and using of frozen beans can sometimes negate any benefit gained if not managed well. James Hoffmann explains it well in one of his YT videos. It's worth a watch if you are thinking about freezing.

I hope that helps and thanks for asking.

          Cheers
          Dan

        • +3

Also Bugs - our bags have a one way valve to release gas and prevent air entering the bag. They are not designed to be frozen in which case the valve may freeze open and let moisture in - if you were going to freeze, i would not recommend our bag - Cheers Dan

          • +1

@AIRJO CoffeeRoasters: I put sticky tape over the valve if going in the freezer. Never had a problem with moisture or nasty freezer smells getting into the beans.

        • +1

I always separate my beans in smaller zip lock bags to freeze. The quality obviously won't be as good as freshly roasted, but it will maintain much of the tastes. Also clears the issue of thaw and refreeze issues people always talk about. Use the smallest ziplocs for best results.

    • In my experience you get 1 week of it being really good, 1 week of ok, then it drops off pretty steeply. Same with any fresh beans though.

A real ozbargainer never pays more than $25 for a 1Kg bag of coffee :)

    • Are you referring to Aldi?

      • All coffees at Coles and Woolies become half priced regularly.

      • +1

Tried the Aldi and supermarket ones, didn’t like it on my machine.

I have the Jura ENA 8 and the best beans so far have been this Lavazza one I get from Costco for $15-20 per kg.

  • Hello, I don’t have a coffee machine and looking for grind coffee that I can mix in milk and drink. Just like Nescafé. Can I get something similar with Airjo?

    • Hi there Sachin. We don’t have anything like that in our range I’m sorry. Probably the most simple and inexpensive entry into fresh coffee would be a plunger/french press. That would give you a fair idea of the difference between fresh and instant and you can develop your interest from there.

      I hope that helps.
      Cheers
      Dan

    • If you are looking to level up your coffee game you should look to invest in a simple coffee brewing kit.
Google clever dripper, you won't go back to instant coffee after making coffee this way. You could skip the purchase of a grinder if you wanted to save more money, most coffee roaster offer their beans with a grind option.

  • Thanks Rep! Ordered 1kg of Centaur earlier this afternoon. Do you know if it is shipped tomorrow, will it arrive on Saturday or Monday given express delivery? I reside in Sydney

    • +1

Thanks so much for your order itslittfam!!
Yes it will be shipped tomorrow. Delivery is in the hands of the team at Auspost but Saturday is a possibility if that’s an option for your area. Just keep an eye on the tracking for the most up to date info.

      Thanks again.
      Cheers
      Dan

  • Any idea why I get bubbles in the coffee, any advice?

    • +1

Freshly roasted beans have lots of CO2 trapped, its normal

  • +1

Any ideas on what would be closest to Merlo Espresso Blend?

  • Centaur sounds like something new to try! I like a more sour / fruity taste (rather than bitter/chocolatey) — what would be your suggestion? I think I had Sumatra before but it's been a few years. Should I go with that again?

    • I tried the Centaur. It's OK, but pretty generic taste in my opinion. Dark, slightly burnt taste. Nowhere near as good as Sumatra. I gave it to my mum and she said the same thing. She loves the Sumatra. Maybe need a better coffee machine to enjoy the Centaur properly. Or just get it if you want max caffeine hit.

  • Hi Dan,
    Is the bag resealable?

    • Hey there f38r1 - yes it is. Thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • For the Sumatra, what are the recommendations in terms of how many grams cofffee, seconds to brew and output?

    • Hey there freedomofspeech - thanks for asking - the grams will depend specifically on your kit but the recommended recipe guide for Sumatra is a 1:2.5 Ratio - 25 Seconds (excl pre-infusion). You can find this on the product page for each of the blends. Of course this is a guide only and you can tweak from there to achieve what is perfect for you.

I hope that helps and thanks again.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Have been living off Inglewood for the last couple of years but going to give the Stargazer a go. Thanks Rep!

    • Hey there ebosh - thanks so much for giving us a go - super keen to hear how the Stargazer goes for you.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • what do y'all recommend - I've tried Stargazer and liked it. Stick wtth that or risk something new? aeropress, bit of milk, no sugar, generally like chocolatey/nutty vs fruity/light.
what's the difference between 'roast' and 'body'? (I think I like "dark roast" or "full body" but I am not entirely sure. caffeine level not important to me). I like Merlo Riviera and Private and Espresso.

  • Hi, are we able to request a Delayed Dispatch date if we already have coffee for the next few weeks? Thanks.

    • Hey there sdit - we don't have any delayed shipping options - we are all set up to roast and post as fast as possible - Thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • I just bought the Thunderchild blend. First time buyer, looking forward to this. For future reference, what blend do you advise for strictly black coffee? Thanks!

    • Thanks so much Monterosso22 - super keen to hear how it goes for you. In terms of whats good for black coffees, it really depends on your personal preferences. If you let me know how the Thunderchild goes for you I can guide you to another if you want to try something diffrerent.

      Thanks again
      Dan

  • Awesome deal! Just ordered 2kg of decaf

    • Thanks so much john smith apples!!

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Hey, can I please check if I buy ‘espresso grind’ does that mean that I will get whole beans that are appropriate for the espresso machine or will it come as grounded coffee? Thanks

    • Hey there tcsupbro - espresso grind is pre-gound for espresso machines. If you want whole beans you would choose the "whole beans" option.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Ordered, enjoying the Sumatra but like a little more fruit in the flavour, toss up between Enterprise and Columbia went with Enterprise given the blend contains Columbia and Sumatra origins

  • I have gaggia and I usually drink coffee with milk, any reccs for beans/ grind setting? thanks in advanced.

  • sad just missed out had one in the cart then price changed.
