Why are these plastic block replicas so popular at these prices ? Is there a resale value like collectibles ? Barely resembles the real thing, no remote or motor ..so why are lego cars so popular ..they seem to be more popular than functioning replicas. Genuine question.. no offense meant to anyone..I have a whole floor to ceiling of 1:1 replica cars but never understood lego

    • Someone negged even that comment :-D..Come on mate ..not judging just asking

      • Lego negged you

1:1 replica cars? Looks like you own a parking lot.

      • -4

1:1 is not scale mate ..looks like you mistook scale for authenticity ?

So you are saying it's bs and all marketing :-D ..I'll bet some collectors will flame you for that..still interested in knowing why you lot pay such high prices for what to me are plastic blocks ? If the answer is ..just because thats cool..looks like that is it but the prices is what makes me wonder

Check out fancy pants here flexing their 1:1 replicas.

:-D Is that all you have for the Lego support league..I am not sure why everyone is so defensive .. all I asked was why..

    • +4

It's fun to build and see the mechanism function. Lego has very good resale value, even used sets can fetch more than RRP after they are retired.

Ok I think I have my answer ..please enjoy the G series all you lego lovers ..pretty hardcore you lot

Used to love lego growing up… I remember having a 3 in 1 set when I was 8 and used to break it into individual part and build over and over again everytime and using that 1 set make other creations…
Nowadays on the other hand it has become this weird most expensive toy where you'd spend time building it once and never ever to do it again

Agree the lack of creativity. You get similar experience buying furniture from IKEA and build them :p
Again you don’t get cashback using code, and the everyday extra (not everyday rewards) is a paid subscription.

There's no deal here. This is their usual price. We all know everyday rewards can be added to everything.

Is it the cheapest available ? These are the rules of ozbargain. Doesn’t matter if it’s that retailers regular price.

So let's just make a post for every single new release Lego set, even when we all know it'll be 20% less within a month.

At big W we all know it's going to be $272 less another 10%.

And if the extra $4 and 10% doesn't matter to you, buy from someone with a genuine SALE: https://www.target.com.au/p/lego-technic-mercedes-benz-g-5-p…

        It's a trash post, it needs a shift-delete.

  • How do you get the extra 10%? Mine just says “you will collect 340 points”

    • Join Everyday Rewards. You get double points and a 10% off voucher you can use every month.

    • -1

Join everyday extra a paid subscription offered from everyday (free) rewards membership. You’ll get a monthly 10% code for Wollies and BigW.
